I have to diagree with you about 4 its a great game but 2 is still the peak and the game that elevated the franchise to the next level. I mean you can claim that u4 is better than 2 and 3 sure but its 10x better...comeon man thats insane hyperbole and youre better than that.

Well, I have to disagree on both U4 and TLoU2. U4 is good but falls flat in comparison to the games before it. However, TLoU2 was so bad (for me) that it actively killed all the interest I had in the franchise (and to note: TLoU1 is still an amazing game).
I'm becoming less and less interested in whatever Naughty dog is going to offer. It wasn't always the case and the fact that Neil is so absurdly adamant on injecting/shoehorning socio-political BS into their games makes me sour. He seems really egoistic about it too and possibly neglects that not every gamer beyond the US wants to be subjected to his views on that front. It would be great if he could confine them to himself.
I legitimiately do not understand why the management, or whoever decided this, thought it was necessary. They used to have an established identity and image, then proceeded to throw it all away. Their games used to have this otherworldly and whimsical feel. They got too invested in realism instead of a stylized approach.

Crap, does that mean most AAA studios are sinking fast? (And it's been just over 3 years since TLOU 2, and 1 year since TLOU Part 1, still, 4-5 years between games is the norm now for big budget AAA games, get used to it)
