Did you adjust all teams for points scored in the paint off transition opportunities? Because the phrase "jump shooting team" mainly refers to halfcourt offense.
You should try rewatching the first quarter of any game the warriors play against a team with fast guards. (Portland, OKC, Houston, Charlotte, Washington... the list is pretty long)
Without fail the opposition gets inside and draws fouls at will (because GSW always foul on D since they dont have anyone who actually plays good defense except occasionally Durant, Klay and Iggy) Then Refs realise that GSW cant have their "All Stars" foul out. This leads to illegally contested shots when GSW is playing defense, which leads to teams taking more 3s, long rebounds and GSW killing teams in transition.
Every time the foul pendulum gets close enough that calls will go against GSW they give up a few meaningless cynical fouls and make sure they recieve the benefit of the whistle, since NBA refs always try to keep foul calls/free throws somewhat even.
Honestly GSW manipulating refereeing to their advantage at this level is somewhat impressive. Completely unwatchable and uninteresting, but impressive.
Of course they do, they are the only ones attacking the paint. GSW mostly just take jumpshots off moving screens.
Draymond Green's only useful defensive skill is making referee's afraid for their physical safety if they call a foul on him. He litterally regularly kicks players in the balls. He did it twice last playoffs and only got suspended because the second time he did it to Lebron. He's Chuck Hayes but refs act like he's prime Hakeem
Edit: Here is the game log of all the Warriors games this season. Look at the PF column. Most of the time those numbers are essentially the same for both teams. http://www.basketball-reference.com/teams/GSW/2017/gamelog/
Why this benefits GSW is that they rely on smart passing and 3pt shooting so calling less fouls per game usually benefits them.
Edit.
During 1st quarters GSW are ranked 20th in PFs conceded
During the 2nd and 3rd Quarters GSW are ranked 16th in PFs conceded
During the 4th quarter GSW are ranked 4th in PFs conceeded
Nothing unusual to see here folks
No one cares about the Wizards game?
They didn't even get a chance to be able to blow a 28-3 lead...Fucking Hawks
Not surprised at all
No one cares about the Wizards game?
The Wolves desperately need a primary ballhandler. Lavine, Wiggins and KAT all play tremendously well without the ball in their hands.
Wolves are probably going to end up with another non-shooting guard as well. Wonder if they'd be interested in trading Lavine to move up in the draft
Tell Curry to stop shooting so many 3s and it'll probably happen. Majority of Harden's fouls are legitmate fouls, it's just a cheap tactic. If Curry could get the "touch" fouls that Harden got, he would have on average an additional 4-10 points per game off the &1's & actually attempted to be made missed shots.
.
I miss Prime Dwight.
Rubio is our primary ballhandler as he should be until we find a a PG who can shoot consistently and make good decisions
I say trade Lavine because he really isn't good offball and can't play defense at all plus it'll move Wiggins to his natural position of SG
I miss Prime Dwight.
Rubio is a fantastic defender, passer, and actually became a good shooter post ASBThe Wolves won 3 more games then the Sixers. They had the same record as the Knicks. Rubio is not a good enough PG to start in the league unless he can realistically shoot the ball well.
Rubio is a fantastic defender, passer, and actually became a good shooter post ASB
He is the starting PG for the future unless we could draft someone good.
Like say Kris Dunn.
I said good, that was a giant miss as of now
Beal is playing like Lowry.
BAH GAWD THAT'S SAMI ZAYN'S MUSIC! WHAT IS HE DOING IN THE VERIZON CENTER
It was at the time tooMinny should have drafted Poeltl to sure up their interior defense and used the extra guard minutes to develop Tyus Jones
Still may as well try and develop Dunn.
If Minny could find a good defensive C that's going to be a good compliment to KAT it might be worth trading down/out of the draft.
Curry gets the 42nd most fouls called in his favor in the NBA, thats hardly nothing. Besides Durant is 22nd and refs need to even those foul numbers.
Of the players with the most fouls drawn per game this season, the top 7 were all the solo star on their team for most of the season
1. Boogie 8.2
2. Embiid 7.1
3. Anthony Davis 6.9
4. Russell Westbrook 6.7
5. Jimmy Butler 6.5
6. Isiah Thomas 6.3
7. James Harden 6.2
8. Blake Griffin 6.0
9. Lebron James 5.9
10.Giannis Antetokounmpo 5.9
Kevin Durant 4.6 + Stephen Curry 3.5 = 8.1 so Golden State is getting about their fair share of foul calls.
In General bigs draw more fouls then Guards.
No, we need a PF who can space the floor and play defense who can start and move Dieng down to the bench.
jd locking down for worst posts in the topic already lol.. Trying to argue 42 is hardly nothing, just cringe. Why don't you list previous years when KD wasn't on the team dude, or does that ruin your narrative a little too much?
Wall is a beast. Fucking insulting when I heard early into this season that Scrubly was the best PG in the East.
When you write up some bullshit narrative, the onus is on you to provide the evidence not someone else. And for a dude has the 2nd best handles in the game who shoots only 3 shots less than last year, him being 42nd is not as bad as it looks when he has KD is literally nonsensical. He shoots 3 shots less, that's the stat that matters. That PF is KAT. Dude is 6'11 and played PF in College. He's more of a part time C then a full time defensive C. Better to grab a big boddied 7fter if you can find one.
Because i am watching Wiz v Hawks and closed the browser tab. You can look it up if you like.
Edit: Curry was 22nd last season and averaged 4.5 fouls drawn per game.below is the link. Type up more details yourself if you are interested.
