2k devs can't really showcase gameplay well. They suck at their own game and don't have the stick skills to execute their own deep mechanics.

And it would be funny if this version plays the worse.
Uses HD twins assets, it looks identical to PS3/360 version, maybe slightly less jaggies on the player since you can turn resolution up to 1080p.

Nope, not gameplay as far as I am concerned. A flashy trailer with scenes that claim to be gameplay, sure, but not actual gameplay.

Yeah. Haha. I don't have any experiences in any of the NBA franchises that went through years. So I hope for the best - now, that this pushes and pushed me over fence.

Make no mistake, NBA 2k games do not have CGI movies or photoshot modes like racing games. You cannot make a NBA 2k game look any better or worse, the only thing there is, is the gameplay.
These are cutscenes you see during gameplay, the players look the same as they do during "gameplay" as you call it, there is no loading between them or anything of the like. These happen during end of a quarter or middle during gameplay.
You are welcome to be skeptical but anyone who has played these games knows these things. They used different camera angles because it looks cooler/more cinematic. Of course you arent going to play the game this way as it would be unplayable, you need to see most of the court when you play.

I don't usually play NBA titles but I played the shit outta the demo that came out when PS3 released. I thought that looked mind blowing.

Yeah, looks really nice in the usual highlights reel sort of way, but I wanna see long overdue improvements to in-game animation and collision. Everything nice in these sorts of videos kinda breaks down in motion when you're actually playing them.
Or shooting them like James Harden in the Finals.

Instant replay with custom angles has been a part of sports games for more than a generation.

Everyone keeps mentioning marketing, but I haven't seen footage of any Xbox One third-party game and I thought Sony had no money to spend on marketing?
Is there somewhere i could go to learn about Basketball? I'd love to get this game but i know nothing about the sport in terms of tactics which i presume play a major role here. Every time i pick up a BB game i just try to get the ball to the opposite side as soon as possible and try to do a slam dunk.

LOL. No sports dev will ever create a trailer with the standard pulled back camera of normal gameplay. It's not impressive from that view. You hook people by showing the Sportscenter-quality highlight angles.

That is a shot from NBA 2k13 from the trailer. The player (Rose) looks exactly like that in "gameplay" but the angle they used for the trailer is obviously more up close and personal.
I guess i should take it as people being so blown away that they cannot believe the game will look like that and its some CGI film or something. But yes its happening, you can download the demo soon for your PS4/Xbone
Truth. The original on dreamcast wasn't super difficult, but picking up the game later, it was quite difficult to get a grasp on it. It's definitely not for the NBA Jam fan.
