You guys are so damn funny
does anyone else have this problem that the whole game just comes to a halt as if the refs are waiting for something to happen before handing me the ball to continue the game (be it from the sideline or for a foul shot)
It happens pretty much every game and i have to wait the longest 20 seconds until the game gets going even though i'm pressing X to fast forward the whole animation sequences.

I think 2K probably looked at their stats and saw that many players were quitting online team-up games after tip-off because they didn't like the position the matchmaking system assigned them. I'm one of those people who will play with any position and the only time I've quit is when someone continuously hogs the ball. That said, I've played with so many quitters, I can see why 2K made it that all the players are stars.
Here's the hilarious part though, once you're in the ASTU game, you can sub in scrubs from that persons team. For instance, I played one game where I choose 1987 Magic Johnson. As the game progressed, I thought I could sub-in Westbrook or Paul or some other AS PG, but no, the choices were "John Brown" and some other no-names from that '87 Lakers roster. Lame.
Yes, this happens to me in every game. I also dislike the scripted scene in MyPlayer, where - at least once a game - when the coach calls for me to be subbed in, I'm forced to wait by the scorers table and watch a scripted scene of either a timeout or a dead ball occurs before I can enter the game. Who at 2K designed this nonsense? I just want to play basketball without all this fluff. I really miss the MyPlayer from 2K11. That was the best.
I know this has been said by many before, but I'm not gonna purchase another NBA2K game until they fix their janky-ass online servers. seriously, this makes their 4th basketball game in a row, and it's actually getting worse. I have yet to play a nano second of this game, because of this.

I just started the myPlayer mode and the Celtics won't even give me a tryout for a 10 day contract as a 7'1" center. Oh and I still hate the voice options in this mode.

Ive always used Vince Carter since 2k11/12, its the easiest and most simple looking one, he just jumps straight up

I understand there's supposed to be a progression and everything, but I'm in the fucking NBA and I'm missing layups.

C's are loaded with power forwards, they only have Tyler Zeller and Vitor Faverani at C.
I haven't paid a single cent for NBA 2K since 2K13, and will continue to do so until they get their act together.
Judging by most of the responses here, it seems the following problems are still present in this year's game:
- three pointers are broken and full of cheese
- Rebounding is abysmal.
- passing still too late and reactions to passes from AI is still inconsistent. (Like trying to make the AI do a simple cut, pass it to him when he's open, and somehow can't catch a simple pass. Or worse, your guy makes a very unnecessary bounce pass and gets stolen)
- Online servers are utter shit.
- missing features from previous installments
- character customization is still lacking and pretty damn bad overall.
They somehow to continue to get worse and worse with each installment. It's sad what they have now become.
You also start out with terrible looking jump shots and as a slow, un-athletic player.
Seriously what's up with the latter part too? Not many players you see in the NBA get more athletic as they get older. In fact, it's usually the opposite lol. Young players coming out of High School/College being already faster and quicker than 90-95 percent of the players in the NBA at their position. Yet here, even if you pick an athletic build, you're still slower than the others.

Imma tell you this, my player is 91 ovr SG, and layups barely ever go in if i go straight into the defense. This used to work all the time in 2k14, no matter where or how, the layup would go in often, one could get 70-80% FG just spamming this. In 2k15 it only is assured if nobody is there..and even then perhaps not =/
The layups ive missed i could not believe, a center breathed into my shoulder and i missed a layup that even a blind person could have made

Olynyk and Sullinger are power forwards although the game may consider Olynyk a center, either way I tried to make a power forward and the C's still didn't offer me a tryout.

Was thinking of picking this up as I'm a big Cavs fan and nice to see we're finally good in the game. Not sure with all the issues.

Man, this game broke me. I've never had such a bad experience with a game before. First it took days to download, then locked me out of mycareer and other online game modes for a week, and now that it's fixed and started working today, my player lost all his attribute points, I'm just done playing for now, I'll watch Chris Smoove play...

I was there... There was Freestyle, Practice game and those random videos, couldnt see an option which teaches me the fancy moves

There is no straight forward tutorial anymore. Only 2kU videos and then the freestyle section where you can practice .

It honestly seems not much thought is put into how your team plays. In my experience, if the opponent is a higher or similar rating, your team plays like shit. (Offensive settings to auto helps)
If you play the Bucks or Jazz though your team is amazing.

Of course I could set the difficulty setting lower but I just love the 2.0 multiplier from HoF way too much.

The de-evolution of this game is sad. I used to look forward to it every year. Now its just an annual retread with a roster update, broken features and infested by microtransation VC bullshit. Its too bad. This franchise used to be the cream of the crop. Now its really no different than EA squatting out a new Madden every year that's as bad or worse than the year before.
Irony of ironies: What if NBA Live 15 is actually good this year? I never thought id say it, but I'm rooting for them to be better than this crap. 2K needs a fire under their ass so they can produce something good again for a change next year.

I am in the same boat. I never thought I would be rooting for EA. 2K has really washed away all the good will they built up over the years with me by making great sports games.
Now they knowingly mislead the consumer over and over again ( about online especially ). So I would love for them to be forced to change the culture in that building.

I honestly don't think it's possible to play tight defense in mypark. I'm one of those people that enjoys playing D, but it feels like I'm sliding on ice and the server lag...smh. 2K14 was better but maybe once server issues are worked out, the handling will get better, maybe.

Also, I think my save file for MyPlayer got corrupted somehow.. I lost all my VC, from pre-order and the 10K code that came with the game. In addition MyPlayer that I created for MyCareer look had changed, randomly it seems, and I got fucking PINK elbows and legs protection sleeves that I can't seem to take it off.. so annoying..
