Paul George for LeBron. LeBron takes the Pacers to the Finals.
I need to talk to who voted for Rivers.
Bradley was robbed. I need to find the person who gave IT a vote.
ok here's his contact infoI need to talk to who voted for Rivers.
Definitely. At least he tries. Is there a worse defender in the league than IT?
Definitely. At least he tries.
You're also not a professional athlete.I try on defense. Doesn't mean I can even stop a skilled 12 year old.
Advanced stats don't even show AB as a great defender. Merely average.Chris Paul over Bradley
ok
that's a reputation vote if i've ever seen one
Avery Bradley can literally just walk up and steal the ball from you whenever he wants, ask John Wall about it.
But CP3 got in
This like Kobe and his TWELVE Defensive first and second teams. Man ain't deserve most of em
Also I just want George Hill on the Wolves
Not Kyle Lowry, not Jrue Holiday, just Hill.
Eh Kobe, Jordan, West, Lebron deserved all NBA defense selections based on the notion that they were the best defenders when they needed to be. Not based on performance over an entire season. Outside of Kawhi and Timmy, no one has consistently been elite at both sides for 82 games a year - year after year after year for a solid 2 decades.
IT lmao

he destroyed kyrie in the finalsI don't really watch Warriors games, I didn't know Klay was such a good defender (if the votes are accurate). Wow.
Is there a worse defender in the league than IT?

Nick Young, Kyrie and Jahlil Okafor are IMO all worse than IT.

Hell to the no

You can do a lot worse than IT.
His only real defensive issue is that he is 5'9". Not much he can do about that.
The whole point of these awards being given out yearly and for the regular season is so we can identify who played the best during that particular year. The awards don't indicate its about who's CAPABLE of playing the best defense, it's who actually did.

Did you just list scoring totals as proof that he was scoring on Klay? That means nothing dude.No he didn't. Kyrie had 24, 19, 38, 40 and 26 in the 5 games. Kyrie plays better at home. And the 2 games in Cleveland he scored at will on Thompson. In the 3 games in Golden State he wasn't as efficient but he still averaged 23ppg there.
Stop it with your Celtic bias. CP3 is a great defender on both the eye test and any statistical measurement.
And my argument is that's a recent way of thinking. For decades it was about who is the best defender. Which is why superstars always got the nod over defensive specialists.
Jordan kept winning even when Scottie and rodman drew the tougher assignments game after game because Jordan's defensive apex was thought to be the best.
His height is a huge problem though. Especially when the average height of an NBA player is about 10 inches taller than that. I agree he tries hard and moves his feet, but when you're as small as he is, you are a liability defensively as soon as you step on the court.
Bradley was better this year

They were switching Klay off him using picks, he did most of his scoring on mismatches and against Curry.

Same with Kobe and Ariza or Artest.
I'm fine with doing it your way. I think it's definitely more fair. But the old way was the case since West was winning them.
Yes, I used scoring numbers to indicate he couldn't have possibly been destroyed. And I also used my eyes when I watched the NBA Finals games multiple times. Yes, he used pick and rolls, but what guard doesn't? He scored plenty of times on Klay in isolation as well.
At point guard that isn't the worst issue though. Lots of teams hide their short point guard on defense.
For me a big who barely hustles and/or has zero defensive awareness is even worse. Bigs are far more pivotal to a teams defense.
