So we're not at 'working with china" anymore but at let's piss off china again...
Seems like this was inevitable, though. SK was going to get THAAD sooner or later- I believe the first component parts of it were already delivered in March of this year.So we're not at 'working with china" anymore but at let's piss off china again...

Instead of dropping bombs we should drop pamphlets
China is publicly slamming THAAD deployment but privately they know they have a bad hand to play against it so their response has been fairly limited in raising a shitstorm about it. I think all they've really done is some minor retaliatory trade stuff in a few industries, which considering what they could do overall to SK's economy is rather tame. They might step it up now, but I doubt it. With NK just killing off their ace in the hole I can't imagine the argument in Xi's office was very strong in favor of taking a crap all over SK's economy over this after NK so publicly bitch slapped China so recently.

There's a North Korea defector living in the South that does this using balloons. He's even protected by the government.Instead of dropping bombs we should drop pamphlets

Your second link says allegedly and looks to be BS to me.
So, is China a currency manipulator again?

It kinda sounds like China's doing the whole "Publicly we denounce this but privately we're behind it" thing.
Who's side is Russia on here? If that report of them moving stuff to the border is true does that mean they're with us, with NK, or just locking down their border against refugees should shit go down?
You should feel some shame for this post. You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. North Korea is the worst country in the world.
If true it would be for border security only.It kinda sounds like China's doing the whole "Publicly we denounce this but privately we're behind it" thing.

Good luck with that"We'll be conducting more missile tests on a weekly, monthly and yearly basis," Vice Foreign Minister Han Song-Ryol told the BBC's John Sudworth.

Pretty interesting/scary in Seoul right now for a US citizen...

I don't think Russia has a great relationship with NK

WASHINGTON For more than a week, media reports in the U.S. and around Asia routinely mention the approach of the USS Carl Vinson carrier strike group, seemingly implying an attack on North Korea could be imminent. But a week after the U.S. announced the carrier and its escorts would leave Singapore, forego port calls in Australia and instead return to Korean waters, the carrier and its group had yet to head north.
Rather, the ships were actually operating several hundred miles south of Singapore, taking part in scheduled exercises with Australian forces in the Indian Ocean.
On Saturday according to photographs released by the U.S. Navy the carrier passed north through the Sunda Strait, the passage between the Indonesian islands of Sumatra and Java. It's about 3,500 miles from Korea.
U.S. Navy officials in Pearl Harbor and Washington declined to comment on the ships movements, other than to confirm the April 15 movement through the Sunda Strait. Off the record, several officials expressed wonderment at the persistent reports that the Vinson was already nearing Korea. Weve made no such statement, said one official.
Those same officials did not push back on reports that the Vinson would return to Korean waters, where the strike group operated for much of March as part of the annual U.S.-Korean Foal Eagle exercises. While declining to confirm a specific date, they did not dispute speculative media reports from South Korea that the strike group could be in the region by April 25 or so.
Officials did, however, flatly deny reports that three U.S. carrier strike groups were being directed to mass off the Korean peninsula in a few weeks.
Speculation has been rising that the Ronald Reagan and Nimitz strike groups could join with the Vinson. The Japan-based carrier Reagan, however, is in a maintenance period at Yokosuka scheduled to complete in May.
This is interesting.

This is very strange.
Indeed.
Almost like the news was trying to sensationalize things. This whole thing has been very strange. I wonder why they reported that the Carrier group going to Korea earlier.
Hmmmm. 🤔🤔🤔🤔This is interesting.

Agreed. Like I mentioned earlier, I'm not freaking out until my Korean friends do.What an akward morning here in Seoul. I wake up and check the US news to a CNN headline of "Nuclear War May Break Out At Any Moment" and my first thought was "WTF just happened overnight??" because tensions calmed down a little on Sunday and Monday. There were no sirens or evacuation notices and people outside seem normal.
So on my way to work, it is such a huge contrast to that headline. There's people cheering and there's music... for all the presidential campaigns at every major street corner and subway station (there's a new election on May 9th).
This is very strange.
The boner cable news has for war mongering is pretty horrible. I thought the election coverage was bad.
This last week has been gross
Wars are probably their #1 money maker. Natural disasters are ok, but typically don't last very long, and are usually very regional. Politics is a sure fire #2, but nationwide issues don't always crop up (more so lately though, I'm sure they're happy!). Though War.. War never changes (giggle).
I can't imagine how many eyes were glued to the tvs during the 2nd invasion of Iraq.. Driving across all that sand.. The networks probably can't wait to cream themselves over shock and awe part 2.

As long as Pence is here, I'm really not too worried. The US won't attack NK while the Vice President is in harm's way unless NK strikes first, and I don't believe NK will do that because they know it'd be suicide for them. If the US was going to seriously consider a preemptive strike, I think Seoul would get an evacuation notice before they did anything.
If millions of people started evacuating, NK and probably the entire world would know whats up.
