NCAA Men's College Basketball 2012-2013 Season |OT|

I got grudge sucked!
So this must have had B1G tourney seeding implications for tOSU fans to root for Michigan. What was the scenario?

That was just another great Big Ten game this season. Huge for Indiana to win the Big Ten outright. Now I wonder if that makes Indiana #1 overall in the dance.

Good game Michigan. Such a close game and the free throws got you guys at the end. I never imagined Burke was going to miss the front of the 1 and 1. In my mind the best case scenario was a three to send it into overtime. I could easily see multiple B1G teams make long runs in March Madness.

YES! IU stayed with it that last minute...extended the game, played the foul game, certainly helped having Michigan miss three front ends of the 1 and 1.

First outright title since 1993. And to do so in the best B1G in 20 years makes it even sweeter.

Michigan is still a Final Four threat. They've had a great year. Burke should beast in the tournament, great great player.

Happy for Crean and the players. It's been so long.

Exhibit A why Aaron Craft is better than Burke.

Craft actually hits his free throws in the clutch.

Aaron Craft also didn't get swept by Indiana.

Whew, huge win for us... Zeller played like a man in the 2nd half. We crashed the boards hard as hell in this game (Oladipo got 14 rebounds!).

I thought Watford might have gotten away with an intentional foul at the end, but Michigan missed FTs at the end. And I was sure that ball was going to roll in, but that made up for a couple Burke rolled in that looked like they were going to go out for sure.

Apparently some Indiana fans that got seats in the student section were required to wear Michigan shirts over Indiana shirts/jerseys. Here is the rule from UMBB website.
Michigan said:
Students with a ticket in the bleachers are required to wear a maize Michigan shirt (preferably basketball related), a Michigan basketball jersey, or a costume. Students who do not comply with this requirement may be moved to the blue or gold sections. It is also required that students in the bleachers stand up during game action. It looks bad on television when some of the students are sitting down.
That is the first I have heard of any student section having the rule or maybe more importantly enforcing it.

Link to article talking about it.

Pete Carroll Owns Me
They'd have had to escort me out.

There were 10-12 Michigan fans in the sideline section of the Orange Crush at the game I went to in Champaign.

Watford with 3 points :lol on 1-7 shooting. Still salty that bum actually managed to hit a shot and beat Kentucky last year.

Have to give props to Zeller, though. Usually make fun of him, but he played big today.

Shit... I need to email this to my school's athletics department.

How the FUCK did Michigan lose that? I turned the channel because I thought it was over. There was a foul they were checking to see if it was a flagrant or not when i turned it. (I also didn't really care who won, so that's another reason)

They went 1-2 from the line on that foul and then missed the front end of 2 one and ones. Then had a rebound shot barely rim out at the end that would have won it for them.

Sweet.

In other news, Richard Pitino and FIU just knocked off 28-5 Middle Tennessee in the Sun Belt semis. What he's done in his first year of head coaching ever is pretty amazing. FIU was horrible already last season and they even had a shitload of defections on top of it when Isiah Thomas left.

This guy is looking to be another Donovan in the making. If I were any mid range program, this guy would be #1 on my list.

HE GONE!
I wish the Cavs would draft him to run w/ Kyrie but they just got Waiters and he's actually improved a lot this season.
Probably, but he actually has lots of room to improve, and we'd probably be favored to win the Big 12 next year if he comes back. His best friend and high school teammate Phil Forte is on the squad too.

Whatever happens, I'm glad I won't just be a passive spectator for this year's tourney. We have a chance to go far.

A dust up in the postgame handshake line between Crean and Michigan assistant Jeff Meyer. Meyer was an assistant under Kelvin Sampson at IU.

You can hear Crean saying, "You know what you did. You helped wreck the program. You helped wreck our program."

I'd be curious what preceded this incident during the game between Meyer and Crean that would prompt Crean to say that......but I like Crean sticking up for the program.

There is a talent differential, UNC at their best could not beat DUke at their best this year. Just like we could not beat UNC at their best in 2009, and that Duke team tried. Those were the only two conference games UNC cared about that year.

It just better not be fucking Belmont.

ah the glory days.

Haha, wow.

As annoying as I usually find Crean, that guy probably deserved it if he was on Sampson's IU staff.

Supposedly Meyer told Crean to "go fuck yourself" in the handshake line which is what set Crean off. But that didn't get caught on video.

The story I heard is that Meyer went to an interview to get on Crean's staff (he was an assistant under Sampson at IU) when Crean took over, but Crean no-showed it and wanted nothing to do with him because he was one of Sampson's assistants.

Still can't believe this didn't roll in... Yogi got a hand on it when Morgan shot the putback.
