NCAA Men's College Basketball 2012-2013 Season |OT|

Alright, this sets the stage for the Illini to RISE UP and de-pants #1 Indiana this Thursday. My body is ready!

Beat Wisconsin first, damn it.

This team is killin me.
Yeah, it's rough :lol so stressful.

I do think we're improving under some of the dumb bullshit. And I really love watching Noel. A lot of respect for how he fights out there every single game. Wiltjer is starting to put it together also.

I think our guard play is letting us down, though. Harrow and Archie look good sometimes, but they kill our offense other times. And Poythress needs to come alive. Dude seems to completely disappear sometimes. Went 0-3 for the entire game today.

Just going to say it again, I am glad more people were able to see Oladipo play. The man is a complete beast and this year has added an outside shot to his game which makes him a challenge to guard. If he sticks around after this year I would be surprised.

wow. would've been even better than that Kentucky (MKG?) dunk last year.

Remember that monster Oden missed dunk in the championship game where he effectively stepped on Horford's chest in midair.

Most impressive missed dunk ever.

Still mad about the choke down the stretch today though. That said, no Zo Brown no win- simple as that. Hope he's ready for Duke, but that might not be enough. At least I feel more confident about Tyler Lewis now.

AFter the Duke game STate's schedule in manageable, no team scares me at all.

Lewis played well and he was a huge question mark. Thats about the only plus of injuries, players out, etc. You get to find out if your bench has anything to offer. We now know Jefferson will be good, Murphy will probably be good but has a bit to go and Marshall Plumlee is a nice and funny guy who will probably have a career in something other than basketball.

Jefferson really screwed our guys over with his recruiting decision, as if Jefferson had said no earlier, Painter would have stayed at State, and that's at least 2 wins right there- he was the heart of last year's team.

Oladipo is a nice player, but I just saw an Indiana - Michigan highlight with Dickie V going crazy calling him "A mini Michael Jordan". Eh? Surely I'm missing some context here.

He obviously isn't as good as MJ and no one will probably ever be. But I even thought this the last game...that he reminds me of Jordan, at least on defense.

I feel like NCSU can play with pretty much anyone. Sucks to be 5-4 in the ACC, considering with just 11 points more they'd be 9-0 (losses by 3, 2, 1 and 1). Even played Michigan close, and I'm not even going to try and explain the OSU game lol. I'm just hoping all of these injuries and very close games will toughen them up for the ACC and NCAA tournies.

It did last year, and I don't think State's in any danger of missing the tourney unless they have some more WTF's down the stretch, but I think 7-1 or even 8-0 after Duke is doable, and 6-2 gets them comfortably in.

Pete Carroll Owns Me
Well losing always has me depressed until the next game but I do love this teams fight. They just have to start stronger against these kind of teams.

FUCK. That was way too close of a game. Iowa definitely gave the Gophers a good fight, but it's nice to see Minnesota finally pull out a win in a close game...

Cards rolling with furious vengeance. Big bounceback week if we hold on over two quality top 30 teams.

It sucks to lose 3 in a row, but if we can somehow win in South Bend next week, we could sweep the month of February.

Well we're the team to do it against. With the exception of Michigan, we've played every ranked team close until the final minutes and then collapsed. Comes with being so young I suppose.

Dakich brought this to people's attention today. Jordy got punched by Glenn Robinson but it's hard to tell if he did it on purpose or if the push from Watford just caused a chain reaction. I think it's too grey of an area to make a determination

Just want to make it CLEAR that i did not purposely punch Hulls in the face, my arm was pushed causing the incident.

Obviously he is going to say he didn't do it on purpose so whatever. That other view does look like it was on purpose but you also don't see Watford pushing his arm.

we didn't move down that much, 6 to 9. not bad. some teams got it bad like Oregon. haha they went down by 9.

Deadly Cyclone

Pride of Iowa State
Up by 22 on Oklahoma at home. Why can't we just play every game at home? This would be 19 or 20 in a row we've won at home.

EDIT1: 75-53 with a few to go.

EDIT2: 83-64 final. We're now 16-6, 6-3 in the Big 12 (3rd place). :p

no and they never will be

Well they all way up to #6 by beating basically nobody. I dont think its out of the question that if some derpy shit happens at the top that they get it.

edit; still really pisses me off kenpom is 20 bucks to look at individual team stats.

Enjoy your top 3 rankings IU and UM, wont have them for long.

Yep pretty much. If Indiana doesn't lose again this season I would be shocked. The same can be said for Michigan. If anyone has a great chance at winning out it is Florida because of the weak conference. Hell in Indiana's case they will probably lose to a team that should easily beat because that is how we roll.

We are over the year mark since our last home loss too. Not sure what the official number is, around 20 in a row.
We are at 20 and I believe we have TCU and Texas Tech as our next two home games. If we win those two, we will have the second longest home win streak in school history when KU comes to town. Great game tonight if you're a Cyclone fan. We looked absolutely great. We could make a run at the B12 championship if we stay hot.
