when is the release date? is EA going to release 2 need for speed in the same year?

this is the psp version of most wanted for consoles, I think. So I guess it is 2 NFS for Psp then this year (just like Tiger)..

you sound surprised

it's not like they have a monopoly on racing games, they can't release 2 games every year and expect people to buy it becuase they don't have other choices

oh wait, EA owns burnout too, nvm.... (holy shit 3 racing games from the same publisher in 1 year!)

To be fair, though, NFS: Underground and NFS: Most Wanted are quite different. It's not like NFS: Underground 3 or something (thank god..)

...and as long as people keep buying them, they'll keep releasing them.

This is Dissapointing and I thought the DS Version looked bad (and I was'nt expecting anything good with that either)

Thats not a Comparision just saying that both the PSP and DS Versions look crap.

Each version of this game seems to look worse than the hardware leads you to believe it should.

unbelievable - it looks like the ps2 counterpart - which isnt a good thing too, because the ps2 version looks like ass.

Unlike that BO situation, these ARE real shots (simply downsampled). It becomes obvious when you look at the track. I have seen this game in motion already, and the actual tracks aren't as complex as the console versions (nor as complex as Burnout Legends or Ridge Racers). They appear somewhat similar to those in NFSU-R, actually (though obviously better in a lot of ways). It's somewhat difficult to explain, but if you've played Rivals, you should understand what I'm trying to say. There WAS something "different" about those tracks...

Outside of that, the cars here are less detailed than the console versions (2D rims, lower resolution textures, less overall geometry). The game is well designed from an artistic perspective, however, and I think that is what is most impressive. Everyone should know that the image quality shown is not accurate, but the actual content will be the same. This is not the same situation as the squished BO3 shots.

Yep!

If you AA'd that top shot, they could be from the same set. The cars models and track detail do not seem to have been downgraded from those original shots. Look at the vegitation in the two pics. Same stuff. Car models? They are detailed in very much the same way. Road textures? Yep.

It's just as I said it would be. The same content, without AA. Problem here is that these shots are 1) taken from bad angles and 2) compressed to hell and back. My point was that those original shots were NOT taken from another version and I WAS RIGHT. They WERE doctored, however...but I never claimed otherwise. I mean, look at some of those zoomed out shots. The JPEG compression is SO bad that it totally obscures the edges of the vehicles.

I didn't quite realize how big of an impact the lack of AA can have on certain games, though. Ridge Racer looks very clean...but Burnout Legends is a pixelated, shimmery mess.

The ORIGINAL Burnout Legends shots were actually Burnout 3 shots. The original shots for this game WERE PSP shots (at least shots from the PSP assets doctored up). That's the difference.
