Grrr... ok I have the k-lite codec pack installed and I still can't play any of these fucking files in either mozilla or explorer even though I've tried seemingly everything I can think of:

Any help would be much appreciated.

ASX files are just redirectors to the real stream. What I would suggest is downloading them (using right click and save as), opening them up in Notepad, grabbing the real URL (which will be an MMS stream) and using something like SDP or Net Transport to snag the stream.

Thanks for the suggestion- both say they're timing out getting to the files so I dunno maybe they're down, my brother said they were working for him when I asked him earlier but who knows. :/
