NeoGAF 2.0 Error Reporting & Feedback Thread

Stupid thing to complain about, but when I choose to insert a gif I can't scroll through the search results so only have the initial 6 to choose from.

This is not an error, but I don't know where else to put feedback.

Tagging Palliasso Palliasso and EviLore EviLore

It would be nice to have an "undo" button on the game key giveaways. I've personally clicked one by accident (in a "oooo shiny button" sort of way), and have now had two different keys I've posted clicked in the same manner, where the person didn't actually want to redeem the key, but was just mindlessly scrolling and wanted to click the button, in the same way one might click the spoiler button.

So it would be nice to either have an undo button, or maybe even better a secondary confirmation button after you click it. Like a "are you sure you want to redeem this game key?" kind of thing.

I personally love the feature. It's inspired me to give away a bunch of Steam keys I have lying around. But it would be nice if the action of redeeming the key was more intentional for the user.

Thanks for considering!

Edit: This happened two more times after I posted this. It does seem like a pretty common issue.

I've been working on adding a confirmation box. It should be rolling out shortly.

Also, tapping the top bar (where your battery/wifi is) does not scroll the page to the top when using a safari app container. (I like to put NeoGAF on my home screen as a separate app so it doesn't always open a new tab in safari.)
Just to circle back to this, this functionality is now restored. I'm not sure if it's something neogaf did, or if it's the latest iOS update, but it works now.

So neogaf on safari (specifically in a safari app container) works almost perfectly now. I still run into bugs where the layering of buttons seems off (so if I tap, say, the bold button, but it's layered over top of the nav bar or something, it might break the action).

But overall, things are fixed now. I highly recommend other neogaf addicts with an iPhone add the site as a dedicated app to their home screen. Works great again!

so, not sure if this could be called a bug or something, but the way the inline spoiler function works is a bit annoying.

the issue being that if you mark a text with multiple paragraphs, it will not add the spoiler tags correctly to the whole text.
it will place the tags around the beginning of the text, and seemingly the first time you press enter.

like as an example, I will copy/paste the same text, and one I will manually tag, while I will use the inline spoiler icon for the second one.

MANUAL TAG:
This is a test, I will press enter after this sentence.
Here is sentence two. Now a new paragraph.

This is paragraph number two.

MARKING TEXT & CLICKING THE MENU ICON:
This is a test, I will press enter after this sentence.
Here is sentence two. Now a new paragraph.

This is paragraph number two.

There's something weird going on with likes. I rarely get the amount of laugh emojis I expect on my funniest posts. I suspect some kind of bug in the button.

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but in my giveaway post at least 2 users with 0 posts claimed twice multiple times. It's a shame that people that actually take part in the community are losing out because of bottom feeding lurkers. Is there anything that can be done there?

Hey there. Couple of thoughts about tables: could it be possible to make the new row inherit the settings of the previous row? I'm participating in the 52 games in 52 weeks thread, every time I beat a game I add a new row and I need to format it again, center the order again, change the text font to 12 for the description again, change the size of the thumbnail again. Another point is that there is no way to go to the end or the beginning of the cell, as in, if I type a long text in a cell that becomes multiple line because of the cell width, pressing Begin / End will send me to the beginning or the end of the line, and pressing CTRL+Begin / End will send me to the top or bottom of the cell. I think it would be more useful to go to the beginning or the end of the text within the cell instead. Thanks.

I would really wish that you could insert quotes after publishing a comment.

Sometimes immediately after I find another comment I want to add, but there's no option so I sit like this waiting for another comment so I don't double post:

My workaround for this is reply to the comment you want to have in your old post, ctrl+a -> ctrl+c -> go to edit your old post and ctrl+v. The user you quoted should even get a notice.

EDIT:
See?

Cheers!

At desperate times I've been forced to MacGyver this kind of stuff
