Ugh # 2.

I was concerned that lizardlick was backordered but checking out their website it seems only certain parts are sold out. So I figured other products must be fine. So I ordered from lizard lick

But I already ordered at starcab -- and I couldn't find an order cancellation 'button' -- can you order cancel from that website (I sent an email inquiry -- that seems the best I could do).

EDIT: Starcab already cancelled / responded to my email -- damn, that's some good customer service.

Has anyone managed to get the cord for the TE stick back in the comparment? I can't fit it back in and get the door closed :/

Also, I wanted to shout out to MarkMan and the madcatz team. There's been a lot of negativity surrounding the SE fightstick and fightpad, but the TE is truely the real deal. It's such a wonderful piece of hardware and has made SF4 100000x more enjoyable to me. I haven't had a single issue and i've given this thing some abuse the last couple of days. It's a wonderful product.

I just realized I live fairly close to Lizard Lick Amusements, so now I'm considering modding my SE stick sooner than later. I had an incident online today where three of my buttons just stopped doing anything. I had to unplug it and plug it back in to get it to work right again. Was kinda weird.

Yes, just fold the cord back and forth at lengths roughly equal to the length of the compartment, tucking in as you go.

Ugh, still waiting on my TE from Gamestop. I'm drawing more to the conclusion of picking up a Hori EX and replacing the buttons out. But I will wait for now.

Mine does in perfectly every time, just fold it along the original folds, they should be there unless you stretched out the cord the whole way for hours.

How is the VFHG compared to he HRAP3 With SF4?

VFHG is looking like i*ts easier to get from a few places i've checked that still have some and like half the price that the HRAP3 is right now

Alright guys, so a fully decked out SE fightstick with Sawna parts -- once this happens (just placed my order today) there is really no need to go for a HRAP:EX right? I mean, technically my SE actually has better parts correct?

Well, since I can't find any arcade sticks around... I decided I'm going to attempt to build my own.. I've been reading the padhacking thread over at shoryuken forums and it sounds like it will be an adventure.

apologies for a question that I should have been able to find the answer to but all the modding guides for the agetec dreamcast stick i can find are on dead domains. is the stock agetec joystick shaft compatible with sanwa balltops?

It'd have the same parts as a TE would, so yeah correct.

WAT? VSHGs can still be had where?

Got a few noobish questions I hope can be answered.

I have a HRAP EX and I love it, but I think I'm having some trouble with the square gate. It's hard for me to do QCF, and QCFx2's are nearly impossible. Should I get an octagonal gate, or am I just a noob who needs more practice with the sqaure gate?

I guess I'm just confused as to what (if anything at all) the standard is for arcade sticks in terms of gates.

Also, if I am to get an octagonal gate, which one would work for my HRAP?

Thanks in advance.

An octo gate may help at first just to help you get your bearings, but once you pick up the spacing, you'll be back on square, likely. I love the square, my qcfs run pretty smoothly.

So your best advice would be to buck up and deal with it? :D

I'm willing to practice, I was just wondering what my best option was.

Well, I used an octo for a little while, and I'd like to think it gave me a general feel for how far the F was. It's a simple switch to try out if you're just not getting it.

My advice is to go ahead and try it if you are struggling with the square, and as long as the useless piece of plastic is cheap enough. Just keep your square gate around so you can switch back to it. ;)

ok.... i'm haviving trouble performing super and ultra combos with my hrap3. it's probably me, but how the hell do i pull off these moves. I use chun li. Here ultra combo is:

Charge <--- , ---> , <---, ----> + Punch

when do i hit punch? after the last arrow, or what? why am i struggling so much???

I've ordered two HRAP EX's for play at my house/work during lunch hour. Is there anything I should know about them before I receive them? Like ordering any supplement parts to make them better?

LizardLick order arrived today, new buttons get! decided to leave the RB/LB in for now but also have hole plugs ready to go if I decide to change it. Kind of disappointed that the yellow sanwa top I got doesn't match the buttons. So I decided to leave it off for now.

Are you hitting all three punch buttons?

Just curious, when did you order from LizardLick? Also nice stick.

I've seriously just hit the crazy mark..... I just recently got 2 TE sticks..and they are awesome. my problem is carry this bitches where ever I go to play. they are heavy as shit.:lol

So I came up with a Solution for my problem...I'm buying a Sniper Rifle carrying case and gutting it to fit both of my sticks for travel purposes. :D

Took some pics of the Arcade Fightstick TE yesterday night. Should tide over those who haven't gotten one yet.

Outter box. Actually two flaps make up that Street Fighter IV image.

CIMG3070.JPG

Turns out those flaps actually are magnetic. Surprised me when I closed them back up.

CIMG3072.JPG

A certificate on the left hand flap. Nice!

Can't see if from those shots, but my TE DID have some hairline scratches as well as some bits that you have to wipe off. The scratches aren't jarring but they're there and to even seem them you need to view it right underneath your light source. IMO, it's nothing to send the whole stick back to Madcatz over, but YMMV.

Ordered on Feb. 13th

on an unrelated note, I'm loving the square gate now. I got used to it relatively fast while waiting for my shipment to come in. I went back to my hori ex2 that has an oct gate, and it felt weird.

Okay, I'm going to place an order for a new gate since I've grown tired of the stock square one. I'm planning to get the GT-Y Octagonal gate, but I need to know if it will work with my HRAP 3 (JLF-TP-8Y-SK)?

Thanks in advance...

Is the Wii Hori stick worth $30 or should I just stick with the classic controller?

I have it and I like it a lot. It is upgradable also so if you get it and need some adjustments its a good cheap base to play with.

What do you mean by upgradable? I don't know much about the stick itself. Someone offered it to me for $30.

You can get parts for it and mod it to be better as you see fit. It works well with guilty gear and most of the virtual console games. Go to the srk forums and check out some of the mod posts about that stick, there's a lot of creative art and button combos on there.

I haven't seen any tutorials for the Wii Hori stick. I'm stick noob so I wouldn't know where to start. I've seen some of the mods at SRK and they are amazing.

Edit: I found a tutorial and looking over it, modding it myself will cause me too much trouble. I guess I won't bother then.

got my TE stick.. and while it works awesome.. i noticed the 'A' button is a bit inward on the right side... err dunno if that makes sense... but it's not aligned even like the other ones and it feels a bit more sensitive on one side of the button then the other.. however it works fine... maybe i'm just nitpicking?

I modded one Hori Wii stick with all-Sanwa parts and am in the process of modding a second one with all-Seimitsu parts. If you have any questions about the mod and steps/tools needed, pose them here, or send me a PM, I'd be happy to help you out. It's not too difficult, provided you have the right tools and the patience to get it all done right.

Here's the Sanwa mod I did:

Yup. That's the one you need to get. That's what I used for my Amazon HRAP until I switched out to a Seimitsu LS-56 stick.

Yeah that's the one I found :D

I'm probably going to do it once I pick up the necessary materials. Baron you have been great help. Thanks.

Sure thing, glad to help. Good luck with the stick!

I'm a very sad panda today because I was foolish and didn't fix my SE fightstick when I had the chance. I first encountered the "sticking" problem on wednesday, but I didn't think it was a very big issue at first. It was pretty easy to get the washer back in place with a little 360 motion here and there and get back to business, so I ignored the issue and kept playing more and more SFIV.

Don't make the same mistake I did GAF! If you are the DIY type (and you are comfortable with all the things that opening up your stick entails, namely, possible warranty voiding), fix your washer as soon as you find the problem! I thought I had more time, but today my stick stopped registering left movement completely. I figured it was finally time to break out the crazy glue, but it was too late - my PCB was ruined.

This is really only a temporary setback for me since I was planning on modding the thing anyway - but I had planned to wait a little while before making the order. Anyway, learn from my mistake, if you're going to fix it yourself - fix it early! Don't end up stickless with all the hard trials still unlocked.

Wow you did the exact same thing I did. :lol

I shrugged it off and eventually all left movement stopped registering. Still waiting on my Lizardlick order, which I ordered last Saturday.

I contacted Chad a while ago. He's pretty busy with more than 700 orders, so I think it will take some time for your part to ship. He's pretty awesome for handling that many orders on his own. Usually takes 2-3 days for your order to arrive once it's shipped.

I feel like we should have some kind of support group. Or perhaps a 5k run to raise awareness?

I posted this in the SF IV thread but its definately more suitable here. My ps3 is backwards compatible and Im trying to use my TE stick with 3rd Strike (sf anniv.) for ps2. When I load the game, it says "press the ps button" and when I press the home button on the stick nothing happens, its like it doesnt recognize the stick. Has anyone used their TE stick on ps2 games running on ps3? If so howd you get it to work??

Doesn't work with PS2 games. Something is up with the firmware I believe and it's all in Sony's hands.

This has happened to the HRAP3 and the VSHG when they first came out. It's not going to work until Sony patches it to do so.

Does the standard edition Fightstick work with older games (PS2, specifically)? I don't know if I'm just doing something wrong... But the stick won't seem to work with Third Strike (in the SF Anniversary Collection).
