I placed an order on Feb 24th and still no response. I sent a couple of emails this week to check the status of my order and still no answer, I sent the email to sales@lizardlick.com

I guess I will wait until next week to see what happens, if I don't get a response, I will cancel my order. What sucks is that I ordered some HAPP parts, not the Sanwa/Seimitsu parts that are on back order, but still nothing has been shipped yet.

Yeah, I placed my order in the middle of February and nothing.

Seriously, what the fuck? I know he has to order more parts in to ship to us -- but where the fuck is he ordering them from, Narnia?

Finally got my blue and white translucent semitsu buttons from lizard lick yesterday, placed them in my HRAP EX, was my first stick mod ever went pretty well:D ......oh and ironically enough bestbuy.com shipped my TE stick out the blue today....

So here's my TE stick. Just waiting on Violet Sanwa buttons for it:

Wife did the layout for it (artwork is from ArtGerm on DA).

It's super nice.

I don't understand some people - a company finally makes a stick for the US that comes stock with a perfectly perfect set of Sanwa buttons, and you take them out and replace them with...more Sanwa buttons. I can imagine if you wanted Happ or Seimitsu buttons instead - but a Sanwa/Sanwa swap? That just seems like a waste of time and money to me. Why not just buy a cheaper SE model if you were going to toss out the stock buttons anyways?

When did someone say we 'fixed' them? The new batch will have something noted on them to ensure customers it is a fixed version. Similar to the VSHG and the engraved letter.
So they are going to sell ones online, even if they are broken?

Uhh, did you even look at his pictures? Obviously he wants them to match his color scheme. Nice stick frogg!

Dang that is going to look hot once you add in the violet buttons, very nice!

Okay...finally got my LS-32-01 and Seimitsu buttons to replace the stock parts in the Fightstick SE. Problem is...I tried to remove the mounting plate on the included bootleg JLF...and managed to strip two of the screws. Anyone have any advice on how to remove them...now that screw driver is out of the question?

I thought the mounting bracket on the LS would be good...but it's not.

Baron said:
Actually, no, I didn't. And I'm very upset about that. Rawr!

Haha, no worries. I was like "I want it to match", lol.

Don't worry, I will take the white buttons and put them to use. I want to get a Norris panel and build up one with a Cthulu board.

If they sit here longer than 3 months, I'll send them to ya. ;)

nevermind. Got the original LS mounting to fit by rotating it. You only end up using two screws...

I'm not sure if I'm TOO acclimated to Sanwa...but using the Seimitsu felt a little different.

I dub my standard edition...Fighstick SE (Seimitsu Edition)

Cross-posted with SRK:

Anyone have any idea what kind of paint (preferably a type of spray paint) sticks well to laminate? I redid the artwork on my stick to correct for the small issues that I had with the previous version (scratches, less than perfect cutting, etc), and while Krylon Fusion works great for the bezel, it's not so good for the edges of the laminated artwork. It's starting to chip off just from removing and installing the top plate (see lower right corner of picture):

The Fusion brand is Acrylic based correct? You may want to try an enamel based paint.

Emailed LL. today I got a email. it's for a tracking number instead :lol
and a partial refund because they overshipped me. that's about it.
I guess they never got my first email when I asked to swap out some products. and the second email to cancel it all :lol oh well.

My VSHG's button swap involved needle nose pliers in lieu of a nut driver. Really hated getting at those buttons.
I got one out using pliers and it was a total pain. Finally got a nut driver and it was all pretty easy. Nice to have different buttons now!

Good to see people are still getting their LizardLick orders shipped. I see Chad finally posted an update in the SRK thread so that alleviates some of my worry. Hopefully my stuff ships soon. I like the Seimitsus I have in the stick currently but I would prefer Sanwas.

Those sticks look nice, but honestly it isnt that hard to do with the TEs. You did a bang up job on the TE sticks Markman, and it doesnt take much work at all to make them look really nice. Hell the sticks look great out of the box. The only complaint I have after a few days with the TE stick is the cord storage compartment. It is a little to small and you have to wrangle with the cord some. If you are looking to make any improvements, I please make the cord storage a little bigger.

GAF, what's a good and easily available PS2 to USB converter? DS2 support would be good and PS3 support is also a plus but not a must.

I had this for about 2 years or so before it crapped out, but it's under $5 on eBay (just search "ps2 usb", and it'll be on there somewhere) and didn't have any input lag when I tested it with a program I found here, plus 2 players is always nice.

I don't know if it works on a PS3.

Well I pre-ordered from bestbuy.com and I know some people here got their TE stick shipped from them on like Thursday or Friday. I got the inevitable Back-Ordered marking on mine this morning. Its no longer a pre-release item. Hopefully I can still get my stick.

I've been working on modifying a 2nd Hori Wii Fighting Stick - this time with a Seimitsu stick and buttons. I found that it would take more extensive work - ripping the top off and drilling into the metal plate - than I wanted to do (wanted to keep the nice looking stock art on top), so I gave up on it and focused on fine-tuning a Sanwa JLF to feel closer to an LS-32 stick. I used a modified Hori shaft and actuator in the JLF stick, also used a Seimitsu spring from an LS-55. Ultimately the JLF has a shorter throw and a tighter return with these changes. However, I am not happy with it. I am going to replace the Hori parts with the original JLF parts (will have to grind down the shaft end to fit in the case). The stick wasn't as responsive as a stock JLF. I will keep the LS-55 spring, though.

I used Taito QD sleeves on the .110 QD crimped connectors to add an additional level of finish and ease of future swap-outs. I used a pink Seimitsu bubble-top and pink-centered buttons for a pleasing blue/pink aesthetic that I think works well.

Here's a pic for the curious -

Really nice Baron. I just ordered a second Wii stick from buy.com for $40...gonna try to do something similar.

Quick question, how do you keep the loosely connected PCB from floating around? I did a similar solder job on one of my HRAPs and the PCB just sits on the bottom of the base with double sided tape...is that safe?

In case any of you guys are still looking for a stick:

http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-Hori-Real-Arcade-Pro-3-PS3-Fightstick-Fight-Stick_W0QQitemZ170308408434QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item170308408434&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14&_trkparms=72%3A1234|66%3A2|65%3A12|39%3A1|240%3A1318|301%3A0|293%3A1|294%3A50

This guy is the only guy on ebay that doesn't appear to be trying to price gouge.

Here's a long shot: Any of you modders have odd-colored Sanwa/Semitsu/Happ buttons that don't fit into your sticks' color scheme that you'd like to get rid of for cheap? I realized that I need to get a impression of the looks and feel of different buttons, but I don't want to wait for god knows how long and spent butt loads of money on trying out different colors and brands from Lizardlick or Akihabara, only to end up with a bunch of random buttons that I won't need.

If you have random colors and loose buttons that you have lying around that you're not planning to use, I'll taken them off your hand in bulk depending on what you have.

I wish places like DecalGirl or even Madcatz themselves should get on the bandwagon and start making "skins" for the TE and SE sticks. They'd be making a killing right about now if LL's backlog is any indication. Everyone and their mother seems to want to mod their stick, including yours truly.

The top plate of my VSHG is starting to peel on the bottom right hand corner, gets annoy at times when the palm of my hand can feel it when playing games...I just had it since December, brand new too. I opened it up a couple of times, but I don't think doing that would make it peel easier give you're careful with assembly/disassembly.

Crappy quality Sega lol =P

I guess I can try to use some super glue and tape to hold it for the time being...=/

Mad Catz wouldn't want to be coming out with official templates because doing so promotes voiding their warranty. Despite what the company reps say on record about how you can mod their fight sticks, any of that type of stuff in general is an 'at your own risk' kind of thing.

Just called Madcatz to find out they fixed my stick and it's shipping from their place tomorrow. That was pretty fast and they have great customer service :D

My stick is finally getting to me on the 12th. But... I'm going out of town on the 12th, and since it's being shipped to my job, I won't get it until the Monday after. At least it'll be incentive to go to work on the Monday after an extended weekend!

I'm thinking about getting the Hori Fighting Stick 3 for my PS3 and I was hoping some owners could give me impressions? I'm looking for a dedicated controller, but I'm not willing to fork over 100+ for a fighting stick. So it's between the Hori and the Mad Catz fight pads. Any help would be appreciated.

Anyword on Capcom store orders?!?! It seems like almost all retailers are getting the TE sticks in except for CAPCOM lol. I placed my order on January 27th. The wait is killing me :(

Going to do my first mod, Hori Fighting Stick 3.

I doubt they will be here for a few weeks, but I am moving this weekend so I will be busy for a while.

8x Sanwa Buttons
Sanwa Octi-gate
Quick Disconnects
Seimitsu Bubble Balltop

I got my TE Stick today. I'm having a hard time adjusting like a lot of other people. I have trouble pulling off most special moves even Ryu's Super and Ultra Combos. Do you guys have a suggestions as to what I should do to fully adjust? Play tons of Training Mode or something like that?

Ordered a Bat Top/Adapter and Restrictor from LL on Feb. 18th... haven't heard a thing yet. Anyone that placed their orders around the same date hear anything from LL?

I ordered a JLF ball top and 8 Sanwa buttons on Feb. 17th and just received them yesterday. So I would think they are processing orders from around that date...

Get bedridden with the Flu or Pneumonia. Then play at all waken hours. It helped me!

You shouldn't ride the gate when executing moves, use subtle movements. American sticks you play with your arm, Japanese sticks you play with your wrist.
