True dat, but i'm not gonna be happy till i see photos for myself :)
I really just want to see some in-depth video or written impressions. So far everything is "Yeah these sticks are pretty good." Hopefully MarkMan will have a more detailed write-up

Now the real question is:

can you swap in an LS-32?

if you look at the pic of the inside you'll see there is another mounting bracket with 3 holes on each side. just get an ls32 with s shaped mounting plate and it should easily fit.

Consumers' frothing demand for this hardware increases.

Glad I got in when I did.

This is actually kind of shocking considering how easy the regular edition supposedly is to mod.
But the TE looks 100% more sexy in design, and everyone knows it is what is on the outside that counts.

So true. I think we can expect more sticks from mad catz later on in the future. At least I hope so.

Based on how well KOF:UM is on Xbox I may have to end up getting one. Anyone have any experience with PS2->Xbox360 adapters?

I these a few days ago off play-asia, I really like them. Total spent: $64.03. Works with PS3, PC and PS2. Those SFIV $150 sticks are over rated/hyped and over priced in my opinion.

How modable are these?

and those mayflash sticks are every bit as aesthetically appealing and collectible as the madcatz sticks

o wait
I do enjoy nice design a lot, but ultimately I'm a functionality over looks kind of guy.

It is weird that Amazon went out of stock of both versions of the stick simultaneously. Could be a marketing ploy by those underhanded MadCatz goons :lol

Don't these sticks have the buttons soldered directly to the PCB? And don't you have to do some case modification (dremeling, sanding, etc.) to fit sanwa/seimitsu buttons and sticks in there? I've seen a lot of mods on these sticks, but I'm curious as to how these sticks make you think the SFIV TE is overpriced. Do you feel the HRAPs are overpriced too?

you can still preorder from gamestop right?

Dunno. Check the site. =P Thankfully, I'm the only preorder for the sticks at my store so far. Woo!

3,000 TE sticks are still far too few I think. It that for each system or split to 1500 on each system?

If you're putting money down at GS, it's $50 to reserve.

well i mean 50 then. So they dont normally deliver even with a preorder?

I guess my real question is, is there another place i can preorder thats reliable? since amazon isnt selling them anymore?

I do have the latest soul calibur hori pad. But you guys are hyping this tournement stick so much that i really want to get one, but with this, the game, plus killzone 2 coming out holy shit im goign to be broke. will the pad i have now be sufficient?

Heres my call on the TE sticks. With the ridiculous demand and little supply they will make another larger run on the sticks. The guy definitely said 3000 and we will see how it goes from there.

Possibly people will be selling these on ebay like hotcakes too.

Why not just preorder from gamestop.com? Use code SAVER for free shipping. Here's the 360 version:
http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=73049

Both versions still available right now.

Does anyone know where I can order a good arcade stick (for 360) in Canada?

I can't find anywhere. The only one I can find is the $50 Hori EX 2 one.

thanks!

But will my soul calibur hori pad work good? or is there just something spectacular about the parts in this tournament stick??
My DOA4 Hori and my EX2 hori both developed issues. (Buttons failing on one, mic port dying on the other.) They're OK as long as they work.

Too bad that one looks like shit. I wouldn't pay that for something so ugly.

TE stick utilizes the same high quality Sanwa parts as Japanese arcade cabs. It's a world of difference.

No one? May have to take a gamble. Don't think I could play games without my controller i've been using for 8 years.
