My roommate was playing Guile in HD remix on my HRAP and accidentally hit a turbo switch and guile started doing like jabjabjabajbajbajbajbajab and he was like OH MY GOD WHATS GOING ON I DIDNT TOUCH ANYTHING.

which reminds me, is there a lock for the HRAP turbo switches? ive never bothered to look. haha.

No lock on HRAPs for turbo functionality.

No sticks have a lock for turbo stuff.

...

Except the SFIV ones. ;)

could you say now if you know if its getting a world wide release (more so Canada) or will it just be American retail/online stores?

If people want to mod the TE for dual console, getting the 360 version is the way to do correct. I think I saw this somewhere on srk.

ordered some sanwa buttons and a new balltop from lizard lick -- i think more for the fun of modding than any real benefit for my pitiful sf game :/

It's easier to adapt to PS3, because of the 360 licensing issues with controllers. PS3 will take some generic PCBs such as Mayflash's (USB cable for PC/PS3 + PS2 cable) for ex.

so are these sticks on display at CES, and if so what booth.
Already have my pre-orders in, but want to check them out in person

sorry if this was covered already, I'm on one the CES email stations so no time to search :D

So, has anyone gotten their HRAP EX from Arcade Shock yet?

Still waiting for mine..

Still waiting...

At this rate I might actually get the Amazon order in first. Last I heard form them was that they were in route and would ship the first week of January. They still haven't charged my card though.

so the TE Stick it is then? :D i just need to know where i need to put my moneyz down.

Amazon and Gamestop still have them for preorder, Lizard Lick still has PS3 sticks I believe but have already gone over their pre-order allocation for 360.

edit: Seems the PS3 stick is also not available for pre-order anymore, you can put your name down on a list though.

i know. i just mean i was waiting for more information about if this was the stick to get. I'll most likely go with Bn.com :lol or just go through gamestop.com to buy a friend's stick.

Ah cool. Being in Australia I didn't have many choices, thanks to a link to Lizard Lick from Router and a quick transaction (before I had time to think about the total cost :lol ) I have one on order. Can't wait to hear these extra reveals tomorrow. :D

I was talking to Hori via email and they said that Arcade Shock will probably have it around the same time as Amazon now.

Any word on when we'll know about the availability of the tournament stick in Europe?

I want one but I'd rather get it in-store here if possible as opposed to waiting however long and having to pay customs on it.

How hard is it to change the gate in the HRAP3? I am finding it impossible to play as Ken with the square gate. (Any suggestions?)

Also, I look on Lizard Lick for circle gates, which one do I need for the HRAP3?

Thanks.

Not sure about circle gates, but many people in this thread choose the octagonal Sanwa GT-Y

and it's easy to do, it basically clips on/off

That is what I've figured for the last two months despite the posturing by Arcade Shock. Got one ordered from both places as I want one to modify and one to keep stock. I realize Arcade Shock is trying their best but the whole ordeal has been a bit of a fiasco. Curiously, Arcade Shock got their HRAP3s at exactly the same time as Amazon:lol

square gate <3

What is a roll player? You mean like ken and ryu.

I dont mainly play with them but when I do I have no problems. You dont have to go all the way into the corner. Once you play on a square gate for a while, you will get it. dont have to be on the gate wall all the time.

Do you mean 360 characters like Zangief?

Easy, most people make the mistake of riding all the way to the edge of the stick gate while playing. Don't do that.

Square, like the Japanese SF4 arcade cabinets

I'm still not comfortable with my VFHG playing 2D fighters for some reason. Was just curious is 8 way gates would be better. Supers end up being a pain.

Yes, like Ryu and Ken.

I find the only way to do Ken's triple-hit dragon punch is to ride the gate wall up and down quickly; the gate gives me the guide for the roll (This is on an american arcade machine).

This may have already been answered, but a question for MarkMan:
Does the regular edition SF4 stick for the 360 support the old-style headset jack, with the little plastic nubs?

Actually, will all the 360 controllers support both the old and new 360 headset jacks?

Been messing around with template ideas and have been working on this all morning. I think I like it.

DCB_Custom_EX2_Template.jpg

I used ancient Adobe Image Styler to do it. :lol

I know the ArcadeShock guy is probably getting dicked around by Hori, but quite honestly, I'm furious with both of them. He kinda put his rep on the line, guaranteeing that they would have them before Amazon.

He also kinda guaranteed the first week of Jan.

He shouldn't have done that if the sticks weren't on the boat yet.

Add me to the list of people waiting for HRAP EX from Arcade Shock.

Got a Hori EX2 today. A lot smaller than HRAP3. Man...dragon punches are brutal to do...supers are fine though...

I'm thinking about buying one of the vanilla HRAP3s from Big River, as I like the color over the HRAP3 Amazon edition. I'll probably throw in the clear white Seimitsu buttons, ball top and finally use hole plugs.

Just posting my stick/fighting game controller collection so far...

Hori EX2 I got today. So far, it does an admirable job for how much it costs.

All of them together...Not much I know...but it'll grow in the next month when I get my HRAP EX, another HRAP 3 (the normal black and orange version) and Street Fighter IV accessories.

Open HRAP 3 Amazon edition... Still waiting for my parts from Lizard Lick, so I can change the gate, top and buttons.

Got my buttons in from Lizardlick in two days. Awesome service.

I took inspiration from _dementia and will convert my (forthcoming) HRAP EX into something resembling a VSHG.

Just waiting for Arcade Shock to come through, bah.

By the way guys, at the end of the TE unboxing video MarkMan posted recently, there is a still where you can see the rear of the box.
In that still you can see the stick with the faceplate removed. So it should be quite easy to drop custom artwork on it :D

Is this true?

The custom faceplate artwork... seems to have been dropped, although it may still be possible to do it yourself.

There's some gorgeous innard photos of the TE stick at Ars Technica - click for larger

Now someone PLEASE do the same with the regular FightStick! If it has the same internals, that'd be beautiful for non-US residents like myself looking to save a bit of dosh... pleaaase!

According to the vid on the ars technica page you linked, the lower end one is fully moddable.:D

Wow that shit is ultra clean.

Regarding artwork.

It was just something you couldn't do without voiding warranty. But it is VERY easy to do. I'll say how/why over the weekend.

Madcatz ultra redeemed. You guys better stay in the stick making business. This is too awesome.

I feel more than confident dropping that 150 on the stick. Are there ribbon cables connecting stuff to the PCB. How is the wiring to the PCB done? This may be my goto stick. Cant wait to mod this mofo. Think we have a winner here folks.

Really awesome also I have a question: Since Gamedaily mentioned that MC is shipping 3,000 sticks and seeing where it goes afterwards, does that mean there will be a cutoff for pre-ordering at some point soon? I've got a friend on the fence but I'm sure once I show him the links you posted he will probably get them, but just curious!
