NeoGAF Arcade Stick Thread

Well, now I have a 360 TE stick pre-ordered through Best Buy (shipping 02/09), a PS3 TE stick pre-ordered through Capcom (shipping 02/17) and a PS3 TE on order at eStarland (shipping 03/25). I'm going to cancel the order through eStarland but the question is when, I want to make sure the Capcom order is confirmed first.
 
i preordered my te at gamestop whenever they first got the sku in the system, i'm even worried about allocation! :lol i think i'm the only one that preordered at my store, though.
 
Just got my e-mail confirmation from my order at the Capcom store. It says the anticipated release date is Feb. 12th.

Also, they don't charge your CC until it ships, for those wondering.
 
Wow... I am envying the Cthulu-modded VSHG. How much would it cost me to have someone more skilled than me (such as MarkMan, hint hint) mod my 2 VSHGs like that?

it'll change. since we get another email when the item is released. still i hope they made their own allocation :lol

because i picked 2 day delivery. i want it early ;(

I noticed that too. Now I'm questioning whether or not I ordered the stick for the right system. :lol

My e-mail lists the product SKU as "01558" which should be the 360 version.

When did you guys order it from capcom? I just preordered it and I'm wondering when I should be looking for that e-mail confirmation
 
Nice, it comes out Feb 12, well hopefully it dose and they get their shipments. If I'm in Canada and picked International post, will it ship via USPS and how long can I expect it to get it here in Canada?

Your best bet would probably be Akuma001 (who posted the pictures) or a modder on SRK.

Wow at those preorder numbers if true. I hope they're able to meet demand without flooding the market.

Thanks. That is pretty impressive if true. Just hope the game sales meets Capcom's expectations. Would be a real shame if the game doesn't sell that well.
 
Ok, I'm not taking any chances. I put in a TE pre-order with Capcom as well :lol Should Amazon not update their ship estimate by like ... February 6, I'll cancel. If not, I'll cancel with Capcom and stick with my Amazon order.

Either way, I need to make sure I get one :lol
 
Surely Gamestop pre-orders are safe right? RIGHT!? :lol I'm the only one that ordered one at the store near by (in my area)!

I'm getting an unable to process your order error. Is it the website or is it me? And MarkMan, is MadCatz having it available tonight as well? Should I stay up and wait? (I don't want to miss a chance to get a TE Stick)
 
Assholes. I do not need a TE stick. I will be fine with a regular fight stick, but all this talk has me excited and on the hunt. I will probably buy a TE stick if I find one just because I'm excited. Shit.
 
Uh oh! I fear I may have missed the Capcom boat. My order hasn't been confirmed and its been about an hour. Looks like we'll find out tomorrow.

Yeah, I haven't gotten a confirmation e-mail either - the website shows the order status as just "Order Submitted".

So Gamestop stores are taking pre-orders as well? I guess I will try my luck tomorrow.

Yeah....my order has bee submitted, then it got changed to Order Cancelled by System

Now I have a new order that's 164 dollars (i dont care about the 14 dollars) that's at order submitted. I'll find out in the morning =/
 
Before I get caught up in the insane hype - if I'm a semi-casual fighting game player and I have the Hori EX2 and don't plan on doing mods, is it worth getting the Tournament Edition stick on any level? I mean, is the stick fundamentally improved on the TE?
 
If those numbers are even close to accurate preorders, there is going to be a lot of pissed off/disappointed people come the middle of February. I just hope Gamestop fills the orders based of when they were placed. The manager has already guaranteed that I have will a TE stick when they are first released, due to me being the first one to order in the store, but I know his pull is pretty flaccid when it comes to getting things done.

This is exactly what happend to me. Seriously screw you GAF. I dont need this damn TE stick :-/. I was fine with the pads but noooooooooooooooooo gaf had to get my hyped :(


I still plan on buying 2 pads for 360 plus another for my PS3/PC.... I need help 0_o

like $45-50 with shipping. stick is about $24 and the buttons are about $18.

We'll see. Basically, all orders have an estimated delivery date of February 25, which would make it a whole week after the game itself ships.

A few friends of mine who order from Amazon a lot say that they're always fairly erratic when it comes to estimated dates. Mad Catz never officially said when the ship date was, except now both GameStop and Capcom are shipping on February 12. That's about the best confirmation we've gotten so far, so we'll see what happens with Amazon in the next week or so.

This is very true. But the release dates always get bumped up in the last few days. Also, I've noticed that they seem to take a few days extra time when you choose the free shipping option too.

It looks like the street date was pushed up a week or so and Amazon hasn't updated yet. I imagine the sticks are pretty much finished and packaged already.

A few days after street date for ship out is really how they run their business. I just don't wanna fall into the second run.
 
Just pre-ordered from CapCom. No email confirmation yet.

Amazon hasn't reopened preorders so I gave up on that route. I was going to buy a HRAP EX but I figure since I will be spending an extra $100 on new buttons and a stick, it's the same bullshit as a TE.

If I can't find one locally in retail I will probably just wait on Capcom. If all else fails, Hori here I come!
