Oh I'm not planning on keeping it for myself, I just want to mod it. I plan on giving it to my brother as a gift. Thanks for any information.
Yes. Even the Standard FightStick uses quick disconnects, so it's easy.DMPrince said:the SFIV regular edition sticks can be modded as well? or should i just go for another stick instead?

I'm "stuck" reviewing Street Fighter IV all weekend (as in playing non-stop in order to have a modicum of understand of its depth and awesomeness), and I'm doing it with an effin' DualShock 3. My thumb is beyond tore up now, but I've not no choice, really. I'm just lurking this thread and drooling. Drooooooooling at how amazing this game would be if I had one of those things. Next time I get some spare cash... HRAP3 get!
That stick is so beautifully gorgeous that I can't not pick a similar one up ASAP.
i recommend getting used to a square gate. i didn't like it at first, either -- now i can't imagine playing without it.Aginor said:I have aquired a free Hori fighting stick 3 for the PS3 but im none too happy with the square gate on the stick and the buttons feel like a damp squid what should i use to replace them ?

Judderman said:Since my chances of getting a TE Stick are pretty much shot (No way in hell am I trusting VGC after the things I've read), I decided that I'm gonna get a regular edition FightStick and mod it with parts. If I were to want it to be the perfect "arcade" experience, I know I'd need Sanwa 30mm buttons, but I'm not sure what stick I'd get. On Lizard Lick, I see the JLF-TP-8T and JLW-TM-8 and I'm not sure which one is the "better" one or the one they use in SFIV arcade cabinets. Help would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Guled said:Alright, it looks like Madcatz will be making more of the TE sticks with shipments through out Feb and March. It also looks like Canada will be getting some of the latter shipments in March. Here is a response a guy at shoryuken got
Thanks for the email and your kind words. Though I work for Mad Catz, I too am an avid gamer and I share your frustrations.
If it's of any consalation, you're not the first to write to me on this subject and I doubt you will be the last. Though I take your complaint very seriously, i'm delighted that the range seems to be so popular amongst our Canadian customers.
Regarding the Street Fighter IV range: right now the FightPad and the Arcade FightStick have been announced for Canada, both will be available from EB.
As you are proabably aware, the demand for the Tournemant FightStick has been off the chart, truly unpresedented. At this stage we simply do not have the allocation to satisfy all customers who want one in the US with Europe and Canada facing shortages for day one.
Please be aware that Mad Catz will and are doing all we can to ensure that any customer who wants a Tournament Edition Stick will be able to get one, we just ask for your patience.
We are running production as fast as we can and will have several further shipments hit throughout Feb and March. We hope to satisfy Canadian demand with this allocation but regret that the Tournament Stick may not be available day one.
We ask that you continue checking EB games and that if you desperately want one for day one, we plan to begin taking orders from our online US store (Gameshark.net) who plan to deliver to Canada.
Stick with us (Pardon the pun), we promise it will be worth it!
Regards,
Alex Verrey - Global PR & Communications Manager.

If you’re doing a controller for the Xbox 360, you have to have a Microsoft license – you have to have a special chip that goes inside all the controllers, that is provided to you by Microsoft. They’re not going to allow you to put other people’s chips, or other people’s codes into the controller, so that means you can’t do a dual PS3 and 360 FightStick.

Won't stop me from throwing a Cthulhu in there and having 3 cables hanging out the back. 1 360 usb, 1 ps3 usb, ps2 controller.bad-joey said:That's such a shame. It was great that the Anniversary Stick could be used on both consoles.
Oh well, can't have it all

Who needs madcatz to finish the job? :lol
First for everything. Theres a soderless version of the board too. The most work you gotta do is stripping wires and hooking them up. Oh and opening the case. Should be easy enough for any adult to handle.bad-joey said:Yeah, that would also be my ideal stick, but I'm not a DIY person![]()
don't you still have to house a 360 PCB and solder wires from the contacts?ashism said:First for everything. Theres a soderless version of the board too. The most work you gotta do is stripping wires and hooking them up. Oh and opening the case. Should be easy enough for any adult to handle.
