Amazon sent out emails to a bunch of us with gift certificates to appologize for the delay (they told me one week but some were told two).

Ok. Well, I didn't preorder from Amazon. Mine was from Game Crazy.

I also heard Gamestop hasn't gotten some either. My local Gamestop manager said he thinks it depends on the amount of preorders per store. The store with a low amount of preorders, received their sticks.

Should I be worried that the ship date for my PS3 TE stick still shows Feb 25th on Amazon even though I know it's delayed? A lot of people posted yesterday that their dates changed and mine seems frozen in time.

Did you receive an email asking for you to confirm the shipment delay of the product? I did shortly after receiving the email the stick would be delayed by 2 weeks, and then I confirmed that I was aware the item was being delayed, and now instead of saying the 25th it says I'll be notified via email of the new date.

If you're using the VSHG with the stock PCB, you might be running into input weirdness.

Mine are modded to play on ps3/360...I don't know if that means it is using the stock PCB.

So what is the differences between the regular SF4 stick and the TE stick? I know the TE one is better quality but what's better specifically?

Buttons and lever are better quality (Sanwa OBSF30/24 and JLF-8Y-TP-SK-W)

Yeah that was probably me, and I ordered from the US Amazon site as well. It looks like Amazon is sending out different delay notices, probably due to them estimating different restock shipments from Mad Catz. If your email said 1 week, then I would guess your stick will ship before mine. I ordered a PS3 TE stick on January 16th.

Selling TEs due to higher resale or like the HRAPs more?
Would it be better getting a cheaper HRAP3 and modding it for 360 use too or the other way around. Which one is easier? Most likely I may look into getting someone else to do it (like the one who did your stick).
Decisions as well since my TEs are probably coming in april

I doubt that mine will ship in a week. I ordered the same day that you did but I was silly enough to apply the certificates they sent me to the TE order after forgeting how wonky their computer system is. When I do get a ship date I'll likely get kicked to the back of the que but I've got a 360 TE to tide me over until then.
It's still strange that you got such a different email though.

Ok, so my Sanwa stick arrived in the mail today and it was a pretty easy installation. But 1 thing worried me, the little plug-in thing was covered in glue because I assume MadCatz didn't want to have it accidentally disconnect from the joystick that was already in there. I basically had to rip it off, it was really stuck on there. Then there was a little bit of glue in the plug which worried me. I put in the Sanwa stick and now the plug is a little loose, but I doubt it'll go anywhere.

Everything seemingly went well, however, I plugged the stick into my xbox only to find out none of the turbo LEDs nor the guide button LED turned on. I'm not really sure what the problem is there, maybe a plug got loose while I was yanking out the joystick plug. It's no big deal but it still annoys me. At first I thought the turbo was broken but it turned out to be just the lights.

Also the metal plate on the bottom is uneven, I thought I got it on evenly but I guess not, I suppose I'll open it back up, check the plugs, then try to re-screw it on evenly.

So the stick installation was really easy, it was only a few minor things that bugged me.

OBSF-24, OBSN-24, and PS-14-K replace the smaller start and back/select buttons.

So my stick broke 2 nights ago (it was a piece a shit) and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find an Xbox 360 HAPP stick for a decent price. I was pretty sure I'd have to either overpay for a Jap style or use the 360 controller. I lucked out and found this on SRK

Modded Anniversary stick, HAPP parts and wireless (switched to 360 of course). Dude was selling it for 80 shipped. I live to fight another day.

My TE stick arrived but unfortunately the shipping box was smashed and the really nice packaging case was damaged/torn =/ The joystick looks fine so far though (I can't try it out yet until I get home tonight). I called amazon about it and they offered me a $20 refund since I didn't want to return it (yet). I called Mad Catz afterwards asking if they had a spare TE PS3 box they can send over but they have none in stock right now. They did take down my contact info so they can send over one when it is available.

Kind of a bummer but I am happy to finally have the joystick (hopefully it works!). I do appreciate amazon and Mad Catz's efforts to accommodate the best way they can though.

I just bought a DOA4 Hori stick and I'm having some problems with it. I can perform moves that require me to move the stick to the left fine (Hadoken from the right of the screen, senpukyaku from the left, etc) but when I'm forced to use the right side it fails to register.

Any ideas as to whats wrong? I'm thinking of opening it up and following a mod guide hoping that will help (as well as getting Sanwa parts in there) but I'm not super technical even though I think I could manage it.

My HRAP ProEX finally arrived from arcadeshock and DAMN, this thing is HUGE, which makes it awesome.
Much much better than the EX2. Mostly because of size and sturdyness, since the parts are the same, right?

Anyway, i loved it. Arcadeshock people took their time to mail it to me (they even forgot about it, apparently, as i had to mail them and ask wtf was going on). I also paid a hefty amount of taxes in it (not their fault, my stupid country fault). But.... i found it pretty amazing.

Thanks for the people that helped me choose it and listened to me bitching about it taking way too long to finally arrive here.

no -- ex2 uses hori parts throughout, hrap ex uses a sanwa stick and hori buttons (which you should probably replace)

i've had one preordered at a gamestop b&m for months, took your advice and called the nearest game crazy, which is about 45 min away... now i have a tournament edition stick, and one i guess i can sell whenever gamestop gets it. :lol thanks for your advice, i would've never called otherwise.
