His friend used to be an animator for the Ren & Stimpy show, so he had him do the art...

neat!

THANKS elevenstrings!
That is one of the most beautiful things I have seen.

Wow that is truly incredible.

hi am new to arcade sticks and i just got my sfiv te stick. Everything is working great except i can't pull off some moves (hadoken for example) with the same ease as i did with the 360 pad. oximoron i know. i have seen a lot of guys that have that stick kept the buttons but changed the actual stick to something else. Can someone point me to the right direction to get a new stick and how to fit it in TE stick? thanks guys i really appreciate all the help. Thanks again.

What does 3-input issues mean?
I have a VSHG and can do Ultras just fine anyways.
It has issues in certain games. Googling vshg t5dr gave me this quote from MarkMan:

"One huge advantage for Tekken that the HRAP3 holds is that it works seamlessly with inputs, unlike the VSHG. The VSHG had a problem with T5DR where inputs requiring 3 or more inputs(example Bryan’s 1+3+4 taunt or Jack-5’s f+1+2 used in juggle enders), whereas the HRAP3 has no problems at all"

I believe it was discussed in this thread previously if you wanna search for more info.

Give it some more time. I've been playing with sticks for years but I still had an adjustment period when I got a Sanwa. You keep at it and you'll probably adjust.

Ah, ok.
Ultras work fine in SF4 anyways with my VSHG so it should be fine.

Thanks guys i just got it. It's been over 10 years that i have to play with a stick. I have been playing for about 2 hours. I will give it some more time. I was afraid that something is wrong with it.

Argh,

Damn you to hell UPS here I'm sitting waiting for my Madcatz TE stick got the letter from Amazon and it said I'll probably get it in March for some reason or another I login to amazon and find out that my TE stick is in my main office of my building Oh did I add that UPS didn't even come to my door no note and i was home all day today. I'll get it later this morning. Oh yeah it came the 20th

The problem i have is with the ultras especially the double hadoken moves. any tips?

sorry for going crazy here but how much is the adjustment period? i have been playing in medium difficulty and when i need to do a quick ultra it never happens. only in training mode. What is so great about the stick if it does not do as instructed? Any tips? Help? maybe some screws are loose on the stick? somebody please please help me.

What happens when you try to do an ultra/super? Does it come out as a shoryuken? If so, make sure to think about only pressing the buttons when you are definitely holding towards.

yes most of the time comes out as a shoryuken. The probelm is that i cannot do it fast enough so i can defeat the cpu or anyone online.

This happens to me all of the time with my regular old 360 controller (whom is now my mortal enemy) same thing would happen with me except with cammy. Basically what was happening is that I was accidentally pressing kick (in your case punch?) too soon. Try training yourself to do the double QCF and then wait then hit the punch button.

This basically solved my issue, well sort of. Physically inputting that on a d-pad is painstaking for me:lol

Not sure if that's you're problem or not...

Oh quick Q too, I'm sure it's in here somewhere but I probably missed it. Are any of these new stick using octagonal gates? And if not whats a goodun? Gonna get my tax return back and it's between that or tackling the task of building one myself.

I just purchased a Wii Hori fighting stick and plan on modding the crap out of it. I just have a slight problem.. I'm not sure where to buy the needed materials (Buttons, sticks, etc.)

I plan on swamping out the PCB and replacing it with a 360 pad PCB, I just need recommendations on good buttons and a great octagon gate, etc.

If someone can point me in the direction of a good site that sells these items, it would be greatly appreciated. I'm located in Atlanta, GA if that helps.

Well my Amazon TE stick order was bumped from Feb. 25th to April 14th... seriously FUCK YOU AMAZON!.

Here's hoping Canadian EB games actually get their sticks on time.

I just reread the Amazon e-mail about my order revision again.

Still want it? We'll keep on trying. To keep your order for this item open, please click the link below. Otherwise, we'll cancel your order on March 26 2009, if we haven't located it by then.

=/ So there's a chance I might get nothing.

Damn bro, chill the heck out. First off, it's not the stick it's you. YOU NEED PRACTICE. I have been playing SFIV for 30 hours now and I still can't get some motions off every time, and I can tell it's not the stick it's the fact that I haven't learned the muscle memory yet that's needed.

Go into Training mode and just do the motion for a while. Teach yourself how to interact with your new stick.

Adjusting to a stick takes weeks. It's going to be awkward for a while.

By the way, how hard was it for people to cancel their Capcom shop orders? They've charged me for my TE Stick order but it's obviously not coming anytime soon. Amazon's order will be here next month so I don't want my Capcom order anymore. Do I have to call them up and stuff?
Can anyone who canceled from Capcom answer this?

Does your Amazon preorder have an estimated date on the TE stick order or does it say they will e-mail you with an estimated date?
They bumped it back to March 27th.

They also gave me a 20 dollar coupon, so it's only $130 for me, which is nice.

I'm talking about the actual order page. Because I got an e-mail about them saying if they do not get any sticks by March 26 they will cancel my order. I do not have an estimate date for my order on the page of the order itself.

Mine says this on the order page

Items not yet shipped:
We'll notify you via e-mail when we have an estimated delivery date for this item. It will ship separately. You can cancel at any time.

* 1 of: Xbox 360 Street Fighter IV FightStick Tournament Edition
Sold by: Amazon.com, LLC

Edit: Oh nvm I reread it again. I misread it lmao. Sorry about that. If I didn't accept their revisions they were going to cancel my order.

are their any solderless custom stick guides?

I really want to make my first stick but I absolutely suck at soldering

not really looking to use top end stuff either for my first stick

My Dec 30th order is in the same boat. Emailed them just to clarify if the date is unknown or its two weeks from Feb 25th, no response yet. I just hope this situation isnt worse than people who have dates listed for late March-April.

ok, so I think im just gonna mod my X-arcade stick, anyone know where I can get small enough gauge of wiring for modding a 360 controller?? also, i want to make it so it uses quick disconnects, is that possible???

A nice inexpensive way to get some small gauge wire is to gut an extra ethernet cable you may have lying around. I couldn't find wire any smaller than 22 awg in my town, so I did this. You get several feet of nice 28 gauge or so wire.

OK guys, I have a problem. I ordered a PS3 SE FightStick from the only place giving good prices for Australian shipping a month ago, but my order was just completely cancelled due to lack of stock. I am now stuck with every stick of any sort of quality seemingly sold out at every store that ships to Australia.

What I want in my stick is the analog stick switch (i.e., does the stick emulate Left Stick, Right Stick or D-Pad) and possibility of modding (soldering is not an issue, but of course a lack of soldering would be nice). Are there any other places left that have a stick that fits this criteria?

If the FightStick 3 had the stick switch option, I'd just get it off eBay, but it seems that it is missing, is that correct?

:lol Can you? Please let me know where. Hori sticks can't be had either unless you're willing to pay ridiculous amounts.
Maybe not a TE, but Ive already passed up several chances to get RAP EX. Had I known it was going to be like this even for early pre orders(First of December), I would have picked up something else. Now that the rush is here, it is next to impossible to get a stick with the major stores, but you can still find them at decent prices.

This. When I first got my VSHG I was the same way but now I'm used to it and won't play fighter with anything less than a Sanwa stick (OK maybe a Seimitsu).

Man, this sucks. Me and my friend both bought FightStick SE's a while ago, and I've ordered Sanwas for myself. Now his stick broke, and now my friend's blaming me for making him trust in Madcatz even though their stuff has always been horrible.

I'm starting to wonder why I thought of anything else either especially when the SE has some cheapass parts.

Should've just invested in the TE or a HRAP EX, this shit is really inexcusable when the product breaks in less than a week. I've played on 3 different SE sticks now and each one of them have broke since launch of SF4.

Switch the stick out. Problem solved :/

Every time I read a story like this it almost makes me feel bad that mine's still going. A bunch of people have asked me what to get, and I always end up saying "well, I bought this and it works great for me, and like the entire internet bought them but all of theirs are breaking. so it's your call."

I e-mailed them earlier and got a quick response. They said the estimated date for mine is March 27th even though it doesn't show up on the page.

I heard about the problem and still bought the SE. The fix is so easy, I could care less if the warranty is voided. It's an SE, so swapping out the parts was a no brainer. Even if you didn't want to swap anything, it's just a matter of taking out the gate and pcb and gluing the washer down. Problem solved. The trick is, do it even though you're not having problems yet.

But of course to each his own.

I just ordered a Hori Arcade Stick 3, and I'm going to install it with Sanwa stick and buttons. Will cost me about 70€ instead of the insanely over-priced 138€ SFIV TE stick.
