Fullpanel plexi all the way.

Eh, I think the extended is the best out of the 3. I actually like having the bezel, but it's a pain to be painted properly (and if white, gets dirty way too easily). The full panel one makes it look like it has fit issues just because of the thickness.

If anyone cares.

80% of the sticks used during EVO finals were TE sticks. :)

Also, Daigo used it in the finals when he won.

^_^

That's great, but why are there still no good pictures of the Comic-con stick? Like GOOD pictures that show the whole thing? I want to buy but want to see the whole design clearly before I commit.

Edit: Also Mark, are there 360 versions of it available?

yeha i did it .. bought my first stick... sanwa buttons & stick are coming in this week too :D
Where did you order the sanwa parts? I got my first stick (also the SE) this weekend and immediately ordered a sanwa stick, seimitsu ball top and 6 sanwa buttons at licklizard but the estimated time for an order to arrive is 3 to 4 weeks.

Btw, the cost of buying and modding and SE is almost on par with the cost of a TE. Kinda makes me regret not purchasing a TE. Ooh well perhaps somewhere down the line.

Hey i wanted to ask if anyone else had the same problems with the SE of the madcats fightstick for the 360. The stick is now randomly pressing buttons and going left without me doing anything to it and was wondering if anyone else had this problem and if it is fixable.

I was hoping someone in this thread could help me. I remember seeing posts for a replacement plexigalss cover for the Madcatz TE stick on SRK a few months ago. The replacement only had placement for six holes instead of eight. However, I can't seem to find the thread on SRK anymore. I found a thread that led me to this site:

http://www.tek-innovations.com/arthobbies/?loc=products&cat=1&subcat=1

The piece I was talking about was similar, but only had six botton holes instead of eight. Does anyone remember seeing anything like this?

Man, I just found out about the Comic Con TE stick. I think I gotta cave and get one now. Now I just gotta figure out which platform. I'm torn since I have a VSHG already, but no stick on the 360. Do I go with two sticks on PC/PS3, or get my first stick on the 360 and have two sticks for PC? Both sticks work on PC right? Anyone got advice on what they would do?

So can someone please tell me if its normal that the Hori Fighting Stick 3 joystick is stiff and has alot of deadzone? Feels completely different from real arcade stick. I like the stick Light.

get the 360 version and dual mod it with a cthulhu board for ps3 compatibility?

Not the greatest photo in the world, but that's my first stick - Sanwa parts, the wood was some spare bamboo flooring I had lying around. My friend and I both made sticks at the same time. Mine's relatively simple, his was crazy ambitious (custom, hand-made wood start/guide/back buttons, etc...).

Still, a huge improvement over the SE, but it's a little glitchy, at sometimes fails to be recognized by the 360. Must be a short somewhere. Gotta look into it this weekend.

Ohh, I just looked into this. Had no idea it existed. Sounds like the way to go. I like that no soldering is involved too.

hi all, long time lurker, first time poster :)
I know details are scarce over the upcoming Tekken 6 sticks, but does anybody have the faintest clue as to whether the wireless functions are going to be "built in", or utilise some sort of usb-dongle, like the PS3 fight-pads did?

I'm only asking because I use my 360 TE a fair bit on my pc and don't fancy forking out cash for the special MS wireless receiver!
Get Ready....Speculate!

Shiiiit I saw SO many nice sticks yesterday in Akiba... HRAP EX-SE, Deathsmiles, Blaz Blue, HRAP SE (for PSX), HRAP 3, they were just lying there in droves... I am so tempted to buy one even though the only things I really need are some buttons for my Fightstick SE :lol

That's one rare stick (400 in existence)
How much were they selling it for?

Oh shit, are you serious? I'm not 100% sure that was the stick they had, I didn't look to closely since I'm more interested in 360 sticks. I remember that there was only one, it was used (found it at Trader, they only sell used stuff as far as I know) and had a white box. It was only 7000 yen so I can't imagine it was an SE if it's that rare. Anyway my friend bought it and I'll ask him tomorrow.

edit: Just asked him, it's a regular Hori Real Arcade Pro, period. Phew, otherwise I would've kicked myself for not buying it :lol

I finally got the art for my TE to a place im happy with so I figure I post it and get some feedback. I didnt know what to put on it, I went with a puzzle fighter version of hakumen from blazblue (I used the ryu puzzle fighter art for a face ref) it came out ok. The idea is me as hakumen lol. Im leaning towards Extended TE plexi with orange buttons and bubble top.

Oh, okay. The HRAP SE is white with blue buttons and balltop (buttons have a black outer ring and blue plunger) and uses all Seimitsu components. MarkMan posted his in this thread when he managed to track one down.

Where exactly? I'm going there next week and I'm looking to get a good 360 stick. Store names or any directions would be greatly appreciated.

sorry, if this has been asked before. So after spending lots of time with blazblue, I found out my thumb can't take the fightpad anymore. I don't have any room for another arcade stick, but I do have an HRAP 3. I looked at diagrams to dual mod it, but it looks very confusing. Is there any place I can send my HRAP 3 to get it dual modded?

Thanks.

Send a pm to GAF user akuma001. He's done dual mods for haunts, DoubleTap, A Twisty Fluken, Momar, and others.

I don't have the funds for a TE and I'm really bad at soldering (I want a sanwa stick and buttons). Is the SFIV SE the best choice for me then? I'm also looking at the cheaper Hori Fighting Stick Controller but I heard modding it requires some soldering.

Well, I can't pinpoint the locations on a map. I can, however, give you some pointers. If you've never been to Akihabara before, basically the interesting part is one long gigantic street (Chuo-douri) with a couple of smaller street running in parallel to it on the opposite side from the JR station. You can see what I'm talking about on this map:

http://static.photo.net/attachments/bboard/00G/00GpE5-30400784.gif

Exit through the Electric Town Exit, walk a few meters to reach the huge street, cross it, and follow it on that side, walking to the right. You will pass several game stores, comic stores etc, and after a few minutes you'll reach a store called Messesano (メッセサン オ-) that carries arcade stick. You'll know it when you enter because they have sticks out of their boxes on display in the back. This store has a lot of sticks including HRAP 3, Fight Stick 3, BlazBlue stick, Deathsmiles stick and more. I'm uncertain but I think there are more stores carrying sticks on the same side of the street, pretty close by. (as an aside, this is the only place where I could find the DQ9 DSi slime case)

Also be on the lookout for Trader, that's where my friend bought the HRAP and a rare Arcana Heart 2 stick for the PS2. They have several stores in Akiba (3 or 4?) but the one he bought his in is located somewhere along the parallell streets I mentioned above. It's not that hard to find if you just explore for a bit. I recommend walking along Chuo-douri until you start seeing less and less stores, then turn left and left again in order to double back while following the smaller streets.

$30 mark up on an already expensive stick, that's only going to be sold somewhere I will never go. Thanks for making the choice easy for me, definately waiting on the new HRAP as my second stick...

Glad I could be of some help... :)

This is just like most Comic-Con exclusives. Only available at Comic-Con. This will also be individually numbered out of /250.

Whats wrong with getting the regular TE? Same thing just a different color. A higher price on a limited edition sounds about right.

I just received my order from LizardLick that I ordered on June 12: new Sanwa buttons and Seimitsu sticks for my Egret II.

Unfortunately, I'll have to wait until after ComicCon to even touch them :lol

You're absolutely no help! It's going to bleed me dry!!!
Fantastic designs btw!

Cry me a river, Egret II owner >:(

Does anyone know if Capcom will begin selling the Comic-Con exclusive TE sticks on day one of the convention or some other day? Just wanted to know, since my cousin is going to try to get me one when she goes.

The wooden one looks really smooth man. Good job. Hopefully, your problem is only a loose wire in the USB cord. Is it dual-modded by the way?
