Jared what control interface did you use to hook up to the PC? Did you just wire to the KB or did you use controller PCB's?

I guess I'll do a teaser.

"New" stick within 1 month.

Keep your eyes peeled. Gonna be kinda limited.

Will this be the new Asia only T.E or a brand new stick mold? :P If it's a brand new stick mold I'll be very impressed and forced to order one.

Also, if I could make one recommendation for the next T.E stick it would be to change the stick surface to the same texture and feel as the VSHG.

I really like that material, and I love the fact that it doesn't smudge or leave fingerprints like my HRAP or TE. What is made of? I'd love to get some cut for my TE.

Adhesive Vinyl. Great stuff. :D

You might want to contact http://www.mamemarquees.com and see if they can do a batch for T.E sticks. If they can I'm sure they would be very popular.

I used a JPAC

http://www.ultimarc.com/jpac.html

You simply take your JAMMA and plug it straight into the JPAC, wire the remaining buttons into the board itself and then plug it in via usb. Very straight forward and has worked flawlessly so far.

That stick is still one of the best TE mods ever!
Haha, thanks man. It means a lot coming from you. :3

And to think it started off as a joke while trying to figure out what I wanted...

3rd day with the TE, and I'm probably close to caught up to what I could do with a pad, at least at SF4. If I keep improving at this rate I'll leave the gamepad in the dust soon. Also I pretty much have the hang of japanese controls now. Even the square gate isn't really a problem.

That's awesome, what and how have you been practicing?

Would you be willing to at least tell if this "New" stick has Happ parts in it for say...MvC 2?

(crosses fingers)

I'm looking for a person that does TE template printing with custom artwork. I know of www.tek-innovations.com/arthobbies but is there anyone else?

This could be useful.
I'd also like to know... thanks. :)

Are there a step by step instructions on printing and then actually replacing your artwork? I've opened up the stick quick to swap the gate and change the stick top, but in my quick look, I didn't notice how to swap the artwork easily.

It looks like I'll finally be getting my TE stick tomorrow, as someone who has recently gotten back into the fighting game scene it's going to be one of the happiest/nerdiest days of the year for me. I cant wait!

Nice, I might go the JPAC route with my Tekken 4 cab conversion.

Post up some photos of SFIV PC running on the candy cab when you get the chance.

How is it possible that just about every girl in the Gods Garden Lady's tournament was hot. For anyone watching, it was mind boggling, I don't think there was one chick where the lines "I'd hit it" or "FHUTA" didn't apply. And some of them had real skill to, I'd even go as far as saying they do pretty well at Evo by making semi's at least.

And you didn't even get the hottest girl in the picture, the one who played Viper online against some randoms. Also that's Nemo in the front row in the white shirt, fuck yeah Nemo! (Chun player here)

asked this in the MvC2 thread.

Can anyone recommend me a cheap PS3 arcade stick? I saw a couple on amazon for $30-50 but don't know which one to get.

The hori one looked pretty good but it was out of stock on amazon.ca

In that price range the best you'll get is the Hori Fighting Stick 3.

I put some custom art on my dual system TE. I wanted nice and simple.

Black and white Vewlix art with plexi from Art from SRK

The more I see them the more I really, really like the clean & simple mods. Looks really sharp, man. I'd like to do something very similar as far as B&W color scheme, but with clear buttons + clear bubble top gumball.

I had some Seimitsu clear buttons on there. I love the way they look, just not quite the way they feel. Too used to Sanwas. Unfortunately the clear bubble top has a pit of a purple hue to it.

I recently got the SFIV TE stick. It is a *huge* improvement on the MayFlash -stick, which I have had to survive with until now. I love the look, and the feel of the stick. Good job, MadCatz! <3

So... been rediscovering classics on the Virtual Console... What's the best way to play SHMUPS on the Wii? Seimitsu HRAPs with PS2 to Gamecube adapters?

The new Marvel vs Capcom 2 Tournament Sticks are coming out October 13th and will be $169.99. Supplies will be very limited. SKUs are already active in GameStop's system. In other words, you can pre-order them now.

There aren't any photos of it yet. Hopefully it looks cool. If you call you're local stores and they don't know what you're talking about, just ask them to look up the SKU numbers below.

360 = 804114
PS3 = 804115

89 for a TE?!, anyone going to frys and wants to do me a favor ?:D

Also nice find on the MvC2 info there pxg, hopefully we won't get the canada crap shoot of delays again :(

I just wonder if they are essentially TE sticks with MvC2 art, or if they are potentially different ... with HAPP parts.

Along those lines, does anyone know if a Wii to Gamecube converter exists? I bought a Wii Fighting Stick a year ago, but never really got much use of it until lately. I really want to be able to play CvS2 and Soul Calibur 2 using it. Would making a mod out of, say, spare GC extension cables be difficult? Or even feasible? Thanks.

Leaning towards TE stick, with MvC2 art. At that price, it BETTER be made with Sanwa parts. If you want it, pre-order it now. Remember the first TE stick cluster fuck?

Hey, I'm looking into buying my first stick. However I have a problem.

I have Street Fighter 4 on the 360
Marvel vs Capcom 2 on Ps3
and will be getting BlazBlue on the Ps3

Can anyone suggest any adapters or cross platform fight sticks out there?

I think the easiest way for you is to buy a stick and then get it dual modded. The only other way is buy a ps2 stick and then buy the adapter that markman showed earlier for the 360 and the inpin for the ps3. Not sure how much the second method will cost.

Buy a 360 TE stick, get it dual modded with a cthulhu and imp board which you can get from Toodles at the SRK forum.

Good point. I just wish Amazon had it instead so I could save around 30 bucks on it.

Unfortunately they don't exist. Your best bet, if you can handle some soldering and simple electronics, is to pick up a MadCatz TE for 360 and dual mod it with a Cthulhu board.

It is always much easier to start with a 360 stick when doing a dual mod

Edit: I should say dual platform sticks don't exist, there are some adapters. Not sure if they're any good. The 360's encryption kind of messes everything up

Question:

I'm on my way to get a fight stick right now. Frys has TONS of them at the moment. But they only have the competition SFIV stick ($150) and the old green HORI six button stick ($60) for 360.

What is so special about the SFIV competition stick and is it worth it? Or is the HORI stick good and should I go with that?
