Don't know if I should post this here as well as the Buy/Sell/Trade thread, but I have a Wii vs Tatsunoko stick with a Mayflash adapter(PC/PS3 for whoever doesn't know) and Sanwa buttons and joystick that I'm selling for $45 shipped. Has only been used a couple of times and that was before I put a coat of matte black paint where the artwork was. At most, it's just dusty from not being used and I could use the cash. I'd be happy to provide pictures if anyone interested. Thanks!

Thank you everyone for the comments regarding the SOULCALIBUR V FightStick. I was a bit scared before we announced it/revealed it today.
Being close to the projects prevents me from having the hype/wow factor when seeing something for the first time. I become so used to seeing something that I can no longer be surprised/amazed by it. With the strong comments from NeoGAF, SRK, twitter/facebook and other places... I am very happy that most comments have been well received.

The parts you actually touch; it is about the same. It is less rounded off though and more of a prominent slope.
We have no plans to sell the 'Edge' bezel at this time; however that can change down the road.

Man just read the layout on this stick has a bit more space between the stick and buttons. Please tell me you will sell the metal plates separately I already have a TE and can't afford another stick but I have always wanted that layout.

So, I'm thinking of picking up an arcade stick to play some shooters on my 360. Ideally, I'd prefer it to be a universal stick that I could use on my PC as well. I guess I'd be willing to pay up to 100$ for a really good one.

I believe the Madcatz sticks will work on the PC as well.
I can confirm the SE stick does, but the stock parts in them are garbage so you can either get the SE on the cheap and replace the parts, which may save you some money in the long run and is super easy. Or foot for one of the fancy pants $100 sticks with good parts.

The main difference between it and the other eightarc/qanba sticks is that it is tooled plastic and not a wooden base. So the weight is a little different but it's solid; uses Sanwa parts. That's more than half the battle right there.

You're just the most verbose.
I grew up in the arcades so arcade sticks are a damned requirement. I stopped trying to educate the plebes after one too many lame ass pad defense replies.
Anybody have suggestions for a crimping tool for use with non-shielded quick disconnects in custom sticks?

It was so loose that just tilting the case would cause the stick to activate the microswitches without me even touching it. I likes me a stiff stick, so I swapped in a Seimitsu LS-32, and some shiny Sanwa buttons and now it's my favorite stick.

Just ordered my replacement button for my arcade stick since the H button wore out. I'm looking to mod my TE, but no one sells lamilabels in the TE size here in WV. I'm not making that up either...we got 4 stores and only 1 had anything for the arcade stick (and they were shocked to find it).
Anyone know of a site I can send art to that will ship me a laminate label top for my TE? I've never unscrewed it to look over it yet, but I've seen plexitops on some sticks. Did the MVC2 stick have a plexi top I could just slide art under or something instead of buying a label? It'd be pretty nice right about now...

Art at www.tek-innovations.com has a really nice choice of TE plexi's (bezel size or full panel) and will cut and fit your art as well. It's not a lamilabel but it looks much nicer imo.shaowebb said:
That's what I did when changing the art on my TE-S. It's like $50 for the plexi and art both and they look really nice. He'll even do custom etching on the plexi if you want too!

So, I'm getting really fed up with this. When I hit down and let my stick return to neutral, is it supposed to register up as well? Is that normal? It's really frustrating and makes learning to use a stick infinitely harder which is why I've put it off so much.

Really makes you wonder what kind of alternative layouts you could come up with if you put MarkMan and a bunch of high level fighter players from different games in a room together and told them to forget about Vewlix and other common designs. It probably wouldn't be as crazy as the Hitbox, but I'm sure there are interesting possibilities that haven't really received much mainstream exposure yet.Skilletor said:

Yeah but every other MadCatz stick uses a standard cab layout. I think it'd be nice to have a one off stick with a custom layout that would be built around player preference.
My custom stick has a nice layout with Viewlix style button layout, a larger space between stick and buttons, and the stick sits higher so it's a little taller than normal. It's very comfortable. I'm on a phone now but I'll post pics when I'm back at a PC.
Anyway it would just be nice to see what MarkMan and the rest of the MCZ guys could come up with if they had no restrictions. There's plenty of room to play around on the TE so I think they could come up with something interesting.

And since the new Hori's already are so massive there's more than enough room to mimic that layout. I personally found the Hori V3 unplayable because of this very reason. I really want to get a new stick but none of these new ones cater to what I'm used to and I don't trust myself to mod the current stick I'm using.

I'm with AAK on this one. I hate Vewlix cabs kinda. Buttons are too close to the damn stick. The Noir layout is better with the spacing.
When I used a TE, I used the far 6 because of the spacing (with a custom plexi).
I use a modded Hori T5 stick now, using the far six with a custom plexi. I personally like the HRAP now because of the slight slant in the case. Need to drill holes in the case eventually to get those extra buttons, so I can use my pre-set teams in MVC3
For the Hori VLX, it is so damn big, I don't know why they couldn't move the buttons far from the stick, grr.
My current dream for a commercial stick is a 6 button on face stick with plenty of space between the buttons and the stick, and have the extra 2 buttons on the side of the case, so I can still access all the damn menu options. And for it to have flat top panel screws or something, so my wrist doesn't rub against the bottom/right one.
Also about arcade merits, I grew up on american cabs, not Japan ones. I despise Japanese cabs kinda, haha. I hate the closeness of buttons/stick. stock square gates and stock JLF's too I hate. I grew up with Optical 360's with stiff ass springs, bat tops, plenty of space between stick and buttons, and a straight 6 button layout.
