I want a pink one so bad but they're sold out on GameShark. :( Oh and a blue one because it would match my Chun Li stick.
 
More common than the HRAP SE for sure. You NEVER see the HRAP SE sitting on store shelves. You'll likely never see it on eBay either. I've only seen it on YAJ, and it is usually the same two guys trying to sell it.

Nice. I saw a Yahoo auction for one a month ago asking for a similar amount. Good to know that's the going rate for these things. Might snag one myself.
 
Well hopefully I get a refund from Lizard Lick in due time... Meanwhile an order placed at Focus Attack arrived in about 3 days at my door :)

I know it's nothing special, but for about 50 dollars you've got a full Sanwa set up, in small portable box (the SE was free, so I didn't see any reason why not to). I just dropped the parts in - this is my first arcade stick, and it's taken some getting used to, but yeah.. this is fuckin awesome!
THAT SENSITIVITY. Seriously, I don't think I can ever go back to a pad for fighters.

I was the exact opposite, I bought a TE-S last year and spent the first month in pure frustration. I wasn't great on a pad, but I comfortable on it as I've always used pads. I was back and forth a lot about the TE-S and considered getting rid of it many times. But I just stuck with it and am glad that I made that decision as I feel the same way you do now.

I have no idea but I really don't think there is any chance of that happening. If you want one you'll just have to order from a place that sells the parts or the arcade stick that comes with it like Laugh's site, etokki. But funny that you mention this because a Korean video game accessory company, Joytron, just introduced there new dual mod arcade stick called the Xchanger. They offer a model with Korean parts and Japanese Sanwa parts but I'm more interested in the Korean version as I already have 3 Sanwa sticks.

I actually do own the omni, I like it a lot. I guess I'm just asking for big companies like Madcatz to support korean sticks, especially with tekken since it's so popular there. I'm assuming they don't make korean sticks because the majority of koreans play at arcades.

On a similar topic, is there a "universal mount" or something that I can buy to put into japanese arcade cabinets to convert them to korean sticks?

Damn... I've being trying to get a reply from Lizard Lick for a couple of weeks and still nothing. After leaving me in the dark regardging the state of my (pre)order for so long, I decided to ask them to cancel my order and give me a refund. Fucking waste of a month waiting for the stuff I ordered, really disappointed with the lack of professionalism of Lizard Lick, especially after hearing good things about them on GAF.

I hope I'll have better luck with Akihabarashop (or I might just go with Gremlin Solutions who - while more expensive - delivered my LS-32 within a week).
 
A while back I ordered 2 Sanwa sticks from Focus Attac, but they didn't become available until last week. They shipped on Wednesday and I was hoping to receive them by Saturday or Monday. Then I looked at my tracking number and see that my package is now in Illinois. The FA guys are from Pennsylvania, I'm from North Carolina. Why the fuck is my package in Illinois. Why is it going away from where I live rather then closer? This is the first time I've seen something like this happen.

The last time I ordered something from FA, USPS took almost 2 weeks to send me my package. I don't blame the FA guys, they shipped my package just like they should. But this is the 2nd straight time I'm having to wait much longer then I should to get my package from USPS. It would take me 9 hours to drive to Philidelphia from where I live, why the hell am I waiting 1+ week to get my package when it's suppose to be here in 2-3 days? Hopefully the next time it updates, it actually comes back towards me rather then even further away.

Akihabarashop is not really the service you want to use for speedy fulfillment. They're actually based in Japan, so on top of order processing time, you're going to have to wait for international shipping, which is a killer this time of year. What parts are you looking for? I've used Canadian Joysticks quite a few times recently, and they've been very good. Their stock is pretty limited though.

Sounds like you haven't dealt with USPS that much :) I've had this happen way more often than it should.

Try ParadiseArcade. They're in Hawaii and all but my stuff arrived fast (and from USPS!).

I did that CDJapan shopping request for the Gundam stick that I saw mentioned on SRK. They came back with $232 and then EMS would be additional...not bad considering the price of the stick.

My question before I order through them:

Is CDJapan a decent site? They seem legit and came back with the proper release date and other stuff. Anybody have experience ordering pre-release items from them...seem to recall they have a bad wrap?

My options are pretty limited as my computer can not display japanese fonts and I'm unable to change my tenso address to the new wherehouse :-(
 
I think I've seen them recommended on shmupsforum before so I'd believe it's okay, but don't quote be on that. I've never used them before so I can't vouch for that.

They're cool. I've ordered LE DVD's from them before (never games though) and they've shipped fast, and everything was packaged up real nice.
 
Do you guys know any site that sends sanwa part sticks (hori, mad catz whatever) to Brazil? Or even better, a store in Brazil that sells them? Its ridiculous hard to find a decent stick here, the few I fin are ridiculous expensive or used =/.
 
Does anyone besides Hitbox make sticks/controllers using 24mm buttons? I've got small hands and the buttons on my TE are just a little bit too far apart to really be comfortable.

I preordered a game guide there once, for frame data of course, and I've never seen a book wrapped so well. I was very happy with their service and I'd definitely buy again. They're also much more reasonable in terms of price compared to similar sites.
 
I think you're out of luck when it comes to stock sticks. You could always use the panel builder at Art's Hobbies to make a replacement plexi panel with 24mm buttons, though.

I mean, I would totally buy a hitbox if they would let me. Been on the waiting list for an xbox one for over five months now.
 
I went ahead and (re)ordered the stuff I was after (meshtop and 8 buttons) from Akihabarashop, since LizardLick still hasn't replied to any of my emails yet :/ Kind of makes me worry whether I'll be able to get a refund from them or not... Ah well.

I remember. Back in 2000. My girlfriend at the time got me a Japanese arcade stick (imported it) and that started my collecting addition.

Whew.

Now, I *JUST* counted. I'm at 321 arcade sticks. lol. Something would be wrong with me if it wasn't such a big part of my life.
