I'm really considering ordering that SF x Tekken, stick, just not sure which one to get.

Get both, one for each console. Join Markman on his journey to consume living space with clicky things. I had 14 @ one time, but it was definitely taking up a lot of room. I can't believe I sold my HRAP EX SE for $70. It was a steal to whoever got it.

Gonna answer my own question, it appears that the ps3 fightpads are wired!! Thank you Markman!! At 15% smaller and re-designed internals this may be the pad to get for pad players :)

Have you tried the Hori PS3 Fighting Commander 3 Pro? I picked up one recently, and it is wired, has a nice dpad and 6 face buttons, and even lets you switch the L1/L2 buttons to the right side of the controller. Not sure how durable it is yet.

MarkMan any chance you guys will do another run of the new stick for Namco's Tekken X Street Fighter? It'd be really cool to get a SFxT stick this year, then next year (or in 2014) get a TxSF stick and be able to connect the two of them.

Word. SCV TE has shipped.

My body is ready.

Post some pics when you get yours! :D

Help the economy, buy everything.

^.^ That's what I do!

That's too far in advance to say. I personally would love to, but yeah, only time will tell!

My god... this V3 SA is amazing. I was having a hard time justifying my purchase, given that I was getting along fine with the modded SE, but this layout is so comfortable - the angled wrist rest is really nice, and feels great after several hours of play. Must play moar... but require sleep...

Yeah it's a really pleasant stick to use.

Really liking this. And whats up with all those screws on the front of the other stick???Shit is throwing me of.

I really like the FightStick Pro better than the V.S. The VS is shaped too much of a box.

I regret I cancelled my red limited edition SF X T FightStick Pro; just got annoyed that everyone else got theirs and my order was still pending.

If only it were that simple, I usually just play fighting games on the 360 because that's where my friends are. I just don't know if I should get the Pro or the more expensive one. Hrm.

I figured this was the best place to ask:

I’ve always been curious to learn how to use a stick so I recently picked up a Madcatz Tatsunoko vs Capcom stick for really cheap. I’ve got it hooked up to my PS3 via an adapter and have been playing SSF4 the past two days.

I’m struggling with it though. The past two nights I’ve tried playing through single player on easiest difficulty and keep getting wasted. Normally with a standard controller I can breeze through it. Even my wife who has never played fighting games before was able to beat me.

If I take my time in training mode I seem to be ok input wise. I can pull off nearly flawless fireball, dragon punch & half circle moves consistently. But I find in a real match when the pressures on I get seriously hung up. If I look at my input commands in training I seem to be pressing the punch/kick button well before I’m done with the directional input. I also think I’m inputting moves a lot slower than I did with quick little thumb flicks on a controller.

Anyways my question is, do you guys have any useful advice or guides that could help me improve? I am trying to convince myself that with practice I can be just as good if not better than I am with a controller and that I did not waste my money buying this thing. Anyone else have trouble going through a similar transition?

Play other games with it. I think it might help to get you more comfortable with it and used to the different feel of the stick. I'd recommend some classic arcade beat-em-ups like Final Fight: Double Impact, Xmen, or even TMNT. That way, the pressure is off and you can just get used to playing with your new stick.

I'm still adjusting to mine too. Just play a lot. If you're playing either AE PC, or BBCT2 / UMVC3 PS3, you can hit me up for some practice games.

Anyone know where I can get a Japanese Arcade cabinet on the cheap? I have been thinking about to replace it with an LCD Moniter & an Xbox to play UMVC3, SF4, and Soul Caliber on it. Figure this would be a fun project this year.

Avoid online play for now, you will get your ass handed to you. Stick with practice mode and arcade mode on an easier difficulty. Also a great idea to try other games.

The people that are most comfortable with an arcade stick are that way because they have used them for a long time. I was in the same boat as you a few months ago but i kept at it and, even though i still suck, there's definitely been improvement.

On the other hand you could just stick with a pad - up to you.

Quick! Somebody tell me how well the Soul Calibur V stick works with Street Fighter! I think I'm gonna have to get it since the MLG stick ran out at Amazon just as I ordered it.

Edit: damn, you pretty much can't get these things from Amazon in any timely manner anymore. I'm trying to get one in my hands inside this month, but I don't think that's gonna happen.

It's gonna work exactly as well for Street Fighter as any Mad Catz TE, since it uses all the same parts with different aesthetics and a tweaked layout.

Okay. Just went and ordered the last one from Amazon, but they say it won't ship until at least the end of the month. The best I could do after that is get a used one from eStarland, and I happen to live right near their distribution center (where they hold the one and only eStarland B&M store).

I don't know. A week on average for me via FedEx. The stick is departed for my location but I don't know if they deliver on Saturday's. If it's not tomorrow then Monday for sure I think.

Probably the rarest PS1 arcade stick:

The SPITAL SANGYO Programmable Joystick was released in 1995. The company quickly discontinued manufacturing of the arcade stick after it's release.

This is the FIRST time I've seen pictures of the box and added paperwork/stickers that were included with it...

I am so happy... because this will be MINE come tomorrow. <3

Nice pick up, MarkMan. Love the design of the case, very smooth. BTW, anyone knows when the HORI SCV stick is dropping? Getting the Madcatz one as a gift, and buying the HORI one for myself :)

Those stickers are awesome. I call for the next MadCatz stick to have a dedicated ass-shaking button.
