Speaking of help, I just received my SC V FightStick (360) and I feel like it's damn near impossible to remove the buttons and some of the connected wires. I swear to you, the buttons feel as if they were glued in. Toughest one of your sticks that I've ever dealt with. At this point, I'm way beyond frustration, because I don't want to risk breaking anything. Any tips?
I have the same problem with my 360 Chun TE. I couldn't get the buttons out for anything.

Needlenose pliers or a flathead screwdriver will help prop/pry out the QDs that connect to the buttons.
As far as getting the buttons out, just push at a certain angle after pressing the tabs in. I know our sticks are harder to put push buttons out (physically) but we did that on purpose. We want to make sure that stuff stays in and the wires stay on. You can mod it for sure, you just have to apply some elbow grease of the gods (depending on your finger mastery).
Waiting for that's what she said jokes on the finger mastery stuff.

Oh wow. So their is a contest where you photograph your stick someplace interesting and you are free to photoshop extras into the scene so long as you don't fake the actual setting of the photograph where you took a shot of your stick. The best entry wins a stick.

I also own three. The SF 15th anniversary pre-Mark Man design jumbo block that worked on both ps2/xbox. A MLPFiM themed Mad Catz SF4 fight stick, and a MVC2 TE Mad Catz stick. We all know the one. I'd like to custom mod it to be my Iron Fist stick, but God help me WV has NO print shops with TE sized laminate top labels for sale. I've been to every shop in 50 miles too.
Anyone got a good spot online or some shop they know I can call up that'd print and mail one if I sent them my image? I'd really like an Iron Fist stick.

Wow...the amazing thing is I found that posted by some random guy on Shoryuken who saw me floating around the net. The ball top is purple now and I'm swapping in pink and light blue colored buttons to match a new gradient that will be behind the new art I'm putting on the stick (more pony art). Hopefully I can finish the repolishing of it soon, but it served me all through vanilla MVC3 in the form you see here. Good times.

I've contemplated doing an art mod for my stick but I've always been too lazy to put in the effort. Maybe now that I have two sticks I'll do it to my old HRAP3 when I have some extra change to invest in better buttons.

You could always do the art first and get the buttons slowly later on like I did. Its pretty obvious from the black buttons, and black dust cover that I hadn't bought any parts for this mod yet. All I did was the art which was a breeze. Go for it. Waiting around for enough cash to do a major build all at once is rough, but its nice jamming away on a stick with your own choice of art on it regardless of button colors and such till you can afford more gear.

I can't speak for the Q4 specifically, but my Q3 is just held together with phillips screws. I mounted a LS-40 into it by removing the base, the top plexi panel, and using the joysticks own assembly screws to go through the metal panel, the S mounting plate underneath it, and into the plastic of the stick body itself. Everything fit nicely together and was very sturdy.
Couple of random question. My HRAP EX-SE just sort-of died so looking to replace.
Any non-custom options for a sanwa stick + seimitsu buttons? And any other cheap(ish) dual mod options other than Qanba and Eightarc?
Dual mod is just an extra, but I'd really like something with sanwa + seimitsu if possible. Otherwise, just might get a 360 Hori VL_ and mod later. Not the greatest options in Canada.

You could A) repair it yourself or B) get someone to dual mod what you have and repair it, saves you the expense of casing, button and joystick. It's probably a connection or PCB issue.
And there's also the eTokki Omni, which is more expensive than the two you mentioned. I want to get one, as I like the aesthetics plus the dual-mod.
I forgot about eTokki completely, thanks for reminding.

I want a SFxT so very very bad. Would be my second stick. However I am not currently rich enough to pay the 300-400$ its going to cost as I live in Australia. Any stick#gaf know of a place that can ship to Aus without charging ludicrous prices?(Not talking about shipping costs here)

Plexi is the best route I think. SRK has a huge thread dedicated to just stick artwork in the Tech Talk forum. It should have a PSD for the template of an eightarc.

Cool, I'll order one of the clear panels from eightarc's site. Anyone able to make me a Poison and/or Mileena template for the eightarc Fusion? I'd try but I suck ass with PS.

Finally got tired of looking at my plain Round 1 TE so I went out and bought a Round 2 and replaced the buttons/removed the bezel. Still waiting for my black plexi to arrive in the meantime. Much more uniform look now.

Question for the experts, what is the cheapest yet high quality arcade stick I can buy? Is there even such a thing?
The MadCatz BrawlStick for 360 or PS3 is about $80, but can sometimes be found for less. It's also easy to upgrade the buttons or joystick yourself.

Check your local gamestop. I got my brawlstick for, i think, $60 from them. I didn't like the stock joystick though.
If you don't mind used you could probably find a TE (all Japanese Sawna parts) for ~$100 depending on location. I got a good deal on the Round 2 I just bought. Traded MW3+$50 for it.

I would get the BrawlStick because they're easier to mod just in case you want to upgrade the parts. You'll need to do some stuff to the Hori to mod it.
Still trying to find a PS3 arcade stick to get for Under Defeat for the next few months. Want one that I can put a Seimitsu stick into.
I know the RAP V3 SA takes the LS-32-01 (if i remember correctly) but does that thing just open with screws? I can't remember and don't have any of those sticks in front of me to check. All I have is a screwdriver here.

I'm probably going to pick up a brawl stick, and install Seimitsu components into it along side UDHD, for the lulz mainly.
I used a standard Phillips screwdriver to mod my Quanba, and all other sticks. I wasn't even aware some sticks were hard to open.

The V3 should be fully accessible with a screwdriver. Did they ever make a V3-SE?

Where is the cheapest place for me to get one of those Qanba dual system sticks (america)? I'm not too familiar with arcade sticks, other than that I have a SSF4 TE and I like everything about it, except I'd maybe prefer a stick that had .. I don't know how to explain it, instead of having a resting place for the stick in the 4 corners, I'd also like it to rest at up down left and right as well.
