Thanks again for all the help! I'll likely grab the Cthulu from there then.

You don't need a Cthulhu! If you install one into the stick you also need to install a switch or an imp board. This is why you order a ChimpSMD (same site, since Toodles is the creator of all the boards mentioned so far and it's his site) and don't need to do any soldering whatsoever.

Magnus artwork cut by Arts Hobbies. Round 1. Had clear Sanwa buttons but had no clue how to open them up to place artwork in so I went back to white round1 buttons.

Got my SCV MC Stick a couple days ago. I really like it! Just gotta replace those ugly colored buttons with translucent red/blue ones, dual-mod that sucker and we're all set. Very happy with it. I won't bother posting pics since like 2 or 3 others already have. You get the idea. :) The box art is awesome, btw.

Also, I ordered a Tekken Hybrid TE this morning. I'm a really huge Tekken fan, (Tekken tattoo even) so I had to have this. Really looking forward to getting it. I'll post pics once it arrives.

Has anyone had Soul Calibur sticks ship from Amazon yet? Are they just withholding those until the game comes out?

If they've kept you waiting, do one of the following:

-Call them up. They have outstanding customer service. Ask whats taking so long. They may resolve the problem right then and there.

-Cancel the order and get one from Buy.com. I ordered from them (via eBay) and got mine in 2 days with express shipping for just $5. That was on Monday, so I've had it for 2 days now.

Selling the Ps3 one (not playing on Psn anymore) and getting a Vewlix for the 360 in a few days

Is that one of the limited ones, or is that a custom design? Also, what method are you using to sell it? Ebay, craigslist, shoryuken, etc.? I might be interested if its one of the limited ones.

Well their policy on the page for the stick says "Usually Ships in 2 to 3 Weeks".

So on a whim I decided to look on amazon for the Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3 stick and found it for 119.99.

I bought it, not sure why because I bought the MVC3 stick recently but I've never had a Hori stick and was like might as well.

Cool, thanks for the heads up! Waiting for it to drop a little in price and finally ordered one myself.

Stupid question but is there a limited supply of the MadCatz SCV sticks? I'd love to buy one for the 360 but I'm waiting for a few things on ebay to sell before I do.

And I figured I should post a pic of my stick...love how easy it is to customize them. Thanks MM!

It's actually a custom one I bought off SRK. Even though I like the sparkly ball...I think I'll go with something that matches with the buttons.

And I guess I could be a bit more specific in my question and ask just how limited are the SCV sticks, hopefully there will be more then the first run of those SFvT ones.

MarkMan said it was an open production. Not numbered or limited, necessarily, but if they need to produce more as demand is seen they can do another run.

It is an ugly, ugly stick. I'm gonna buy one.

Is the Hori Officially Licensed Real Arcade Pro V3 SA worth getting?
I'm not looking for mods or customizations of any kind, as I'm new to having my own arcade sticks.

Yeah, that's a good stick. The "SA" in V3 SA stands for Sanwa, a company popular for making arcade parts in Japan that are reliable and long-lasting (they need to work in actual arcades, after all). Any stick with Sanwa or Seimitsu (Sanwa's direct competitor) parts is quality.

Sanwa vs. Seimitsu usually comes down to preference, but Sanwa buttons are more sensitive. I like to rest my fingers on the buttons so my stick has Seimitsu. They're both well made though.

Yup. It's awesome. Been loving mine far more than I thought. The regular Amazon site has more reviews: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0041SGD44/?tag=neogaf0e-20

I think the only thing I don't particularly care for is the lack of a plexi. Which I am in the process of fixing right now...

Just picked up this sexy beast, works with PS3 & 360 and PC Out of the box! Cost me about 149 from Focus Attack. I can see why these bad boys are always sold the fuck out. Im glad I waited and picked this up!!!
Ooooh. $150. Gonna have to keep my eyes peeled. I wanted the Eightarc Fusion but it costs $220 for me with tax/s&h. $150 sounds better.

Focus Attack isn't getting new Q4RAFs until early March, unfortunately.

Personally my stick's probably dying so I don't think I can wait that long :(

I loved the original TE's but the slimmer look is growing on me immensely for design, weight, and portability.

Still doesn't trump my Hori VLX Premium though. Ultimate arcade experience.

I wanna give away an arcade stick to somebody in this thread for the month of February. Kinda to celebrate all the new releases, excitement, and to give something back to this venerable thread.

What stick should it be (current retail, and in production)? I'm looking for any ideas about a little competition. Something fun, perhaps. I'd be willing to ship to worldwide GAFers, not just the US-based ones.

Any ideas?

If you wanted to ball out of control you could always get a Hori VLX PRO to give away.

Think that one is OOP.

It has gotta be easy for me to order from my location and shippable to a winner.

Art contest is kinda tough...not everybody is an artist :-(
