Put a ChimpSMD in. It's cheap and easy.
Looks like that requires official 360 pad parts to work, i.e. you can really only put it in a 360 stick to make it dual-console.

Heh awesome!
Didn't really expect that my kids would end up showing up on the front page of Kotaku from that photo contest. Though I will say that I'm glad that I kept their faces out of the pic, might as well keep a bit of anonymity on the internet. Now I just have to figure out what Tekken characters I need to dress them up as next for the release of TTT2.
Eh, they didn't even ask you if they could post a photo of your children on their site as a news story? Geez.

Did you try plugging in the 5 pin connector upside down?
What would be a good first arcade stick for a fighter newb? Should one simply grab one of the Madcatz TE editions that get released for nearly every new fighting game?
Any good deals for Europeans? The coupons that were linked in this thread seemed US only...
The digital release of Guilty Gear Accent Core + is getting its own Arcade Stick for PS3.
Looks like an Exar stick reskin. Sanwa parts.

I finally bit the bullet and ordered a te kitty for my r1 te stick. Anyone have experince ordering from toodles directly through his. Godlikecontrols.com site? What were the shipping times like?
Very quick. I ordered on a Monday or Tuesday and had my parts by Friday.I finally bit the bullet and ordered a te kitty for my r1 te stick. Anyone have experince ordering from toodles directly through his. Godlikecontrols.com site? What were the shipping times like?
I got one of the SE Street Fighter sticks as my first one and then learned to mod on that one. Those are going for 40-50 bucks online if not cheaper. Of course you could always go TE and not have to worry about modding!
Thanks. Is modding required or would an unmodded SE stick be fine for a beginner, or would it build bad muscle memory or something akin to that?

Isn't the VF5 stick PS3-only?
It appears to me Hori only has one person working in shipping.
That doesn't look very appealing tbh.
Wow, interest up.It should be noted that it has Sanwa's new silent parts.
finally picked up a VSHG, no more sticks for me (I hope).

Profound sadness that there wasn't a VSHG revival and Sega went with the Hori route.![]()
I guess they're out of the hardware business for real now.

Hell yeah, VSHG 4 lyfe. Easily my favourite stick. Wish I could get another.
since I've never seen one in person, what makes them so special. i have a few HORI ones and a MadCatz Pro stick and love them all. I just always see people raving about the VSHG. can you tell me more about it?
thanks

OMG. Looks so much better in person. Should've gotten the 360 one too. Can't beat $100 shipped.
Shoutouts to Jun at Hori for shipping it to me.

A couple of the reasons I think why the VSHG is legendary is that it probably served as the framework for modern arcade stick designs. It also looks similar to what can be found in Sega Lindbergh cabinets. It was cheap when it was introduced years back but since it has been out of production for years, they have went up. Also uses a Sega Lindbergh layout stock which is similar to the GDLK Astro City 1P layout.
It also looks cool. If it had mounting plates for Seimitsu levers... It could have been a definitive stick for 3rd Strike players.
I thought Virtua Fighter 5 Final Showdown would encourage Sega to bring it back but nope.![]()

Ah damn, thought the Hori SCV mounting plate would be the same as the HRAP3's, but it's the same as the TEs. Gotta get another mounting plate for my LS-56-01. :S
Wow, interest up.
Any word on Sanwa selling those parts separately?
So, GAF. How do I begin modding my arcade stick? Specifically, art. Do I need to buy anything to begin customizing the art or can I do it/print it all myself (or from a print shop)? What are these plexis I hear of mentioned casually and what is their function?
None of the links in OP work anymore, btw.

Goddammit.
I received SCV TE stick from a UK retailer today with a torn box and the seals on the inner removed. I figured, fair enough, so long as the stick itself was alright, I could deal with some damage to the box.
Nope.
The thing feels used. It feels I don't know, dusty? Also, is there meant to be a clear film on the art? There's a couple of scratches on the red side and... the LB button doesn't work at all. I'm so pissed right now.
The SFxTK V.S. I got from Yes Boss!. You picked the entry yourselfCheck this out:

What kind of stick do you have? Art's Hobbies (the link above) also provides artwork to be printed out along with the plexi options.
Apologies. I'll update that.
The SFxTK V.S. I got from Yes Boss!. You picked the entry yourselfand I sent you a PM you never replied to ;_;.
So from what I deduce.. your regular stick art is attached to the back of a piece of plastic which means it can not be changed, and the only way to add custom art is to use a piece of plexiglass instead so that you can wedge some custom art underneath without it being physically attached to the rest of the stick? Is that correct; or is some sort of adhesive used to attach the art? What's the difference between a panel replacement and a panel cover?
Considering doing an Iron Man themed stick. Sketching out ideas in my head for if I get the time, and looking for appropriate art that's high enough resolution.
