Nice! I was thinking of getting a plasma - I hear the contrast ratio is best on them. Are there any considerable drawbacks I should be aware of?

I love plasma's, i think they have great colors and i love the deep black levels. Burn in isn't really an issue any more, although many recommend avoiding things that could cause it within the first 100 hours.

Generally, plasma's aren't as bright, the f8500 changed that and is keeps the brightness of LCD / led with the blacks of a plasma, overall providing a higher contrast ratio that many argue is best on the market now.

Other than that, there is a small buzz on the set, louder with a whiter / brighter image, but i don't notice it with my surround sound.

Wow, the trackpad is lit and changes colors as well? Nice looking rig, toyed with the idea of getting one a while ago but went for a Y510 just because I couldn't bring myself to go all out on something I'll replace with a desktop in a year.

Craigslist is my go to place for classic games. It seems to have the best selection and the best prices.

You have to know how to spot scams, and have to be able to test things before money exchanges hands.
