work in progress that is taking waaaaaay tooooo looooong (~3 hours so far?!?!?!?)
I spent so much time on the face of the guy on the left.
Image on the right is by my friend. I'm trying to match her piece in tone and style but it's so hard. Naturalism/realism is so hard. lol

I've been playing Metroid Prime some, so I wanted to practice with her suit. I felt I did enough at some point and decided to stop.

I was working on my half collab but my friend changed the tone of the image so now.. lol I have to fix it more to match now. In hindsight, I should have had the background and different elements on separate layers because she might change it all around when she finalizes the image.. lol

And new stuff I did today:
I like to draw this character rockin' and stuff.

I can't decide which looks better. I kind of like the first one with no background because it looks like cool character concept art to me.

An exercise where I try to place flesh on top of a skull. Not entirely accurate but good enough for what it is.

I guess it's only inaccurate because of stylistic desire/preference v.s. reality, but it's still very convincing nonetheless!

I think I've probably spent about an hour or 2 shading the armour in. I prefer sticking with a mech on that because the end doesn't get so dull too quickly and can stay fairly consistent. Still a bit away from being finished.

I used this picture, newly banned member (probably on gaming side). The skull has some crooked features, so I did my best Korean plastic surgeon impression and corrected the mistakes.

I'm slowly working my way through Nicolaides while doing some Loomis and 60-second figure sketches online. Outside of my lunch break, I just don't have the time. Still doing the very basics - contour drawings in my sketch pad. Gotta learn to walk and all...

Thanks, I hope that with the time I get better at identifying mistakes before calling something done. Btw for some reason drawing kanji is hard on tablet, my traditional writing is a bit better.

I've been working through Dodson and Nicolaides during my lunch breaks - usually after warming up on some 60-second gesture drawings.

Yesterday I did a 15-minute blind contour drawing of my hand. (Exciting.) I may put it up later, but it's nothing special. Just more beginner practice. Scanning everything is such a pain in the butt...

Really loving what I'm seeing. Oatmeal and C.B. throwing it down!

So art gaf my computer is broke (has been for a while) and doing actual artwork is a pain because I have to travel an hour (by bus) to the library. If anyone knows of really good computer deals -- since I'm totally broke -- let me know.

Hey guys...it's been like...2 months since my last painting...Yeah I got burnt out but...I did this for fun while watching SGDQ

Took about 2-3 hours, but there was no pressure for it to be done for another person, so I was able to focus and get it done.
Feels good.
