Looking like around 300 bucks through amazon but some of the proces on ebay are really low. It would be my first time buying through ebay. Should i just buy through amazon since it has the one day shipping thing?

As long as it's a trusted seller.. I don't see a problem getting one through ebay.. But that's because I've never had problems buying form ebay. lol

My GF is making a gaming related advent calendar for Christmas and is drawing gaming related characters on each one.

She isn't great at drawing so it has to be relatively simple characters (think toad or mario)

She had done the obvious ones. Any ideas from the art gaf?

Nothing special, but I'm just trying to get the hang of TVPaint (which is absolutely fantastic).

It really does feel like I'm sketching with an actual pencil, which is a plus.

Learned how to paint smoke and thought to put an idea I had to combine elements of smoke to stag antlers. It’s a new style, a step to hopefully more realistic paintings perhaps.

Ah good luck! Studying realism can always help one further stylisticly. Also, I really like the concept of this.

I am not dead btw. But I am back from America after a month and have really only had time for these two so far.

Top one was a prize for a chartiy raffle thing I did, the second a commission. Trying to switch things up with my sketches a bit; though that probably isn't obvious. Probably about 4 hours each or something, I haven't timed. Mech pencil as usual.

Fantastic work in this thread. It never ceases to amaze me. Been working on this personal project on and off for several hours. Still not done yet since I'm adding in background details and refining details. My brother was playing guitar in the living earlier so I started drawing him while he held the pose for a while. Not sure what your workflow is, but I like to have several paintings going on at once, that way I as soon as I get bored or frustrated I move on to keep my mind working. If I really just don't feel like drawing I'll take a break and read some Calvin and Hobbes or play MegaMan since that's what got me into drawing when I was a kid.

Yeah I use to do something similar when working on commissions, but I found it really stifled my work flow because there was just too many varying emotions going so it was hard to stay focused. I think its mainly because I've not got this new job, so I'm not use to actually having to manage time properly. After arting every day as my job for two years its just this wear sudden change. I still have commissions to do but I keep doing personal work haha.

Hey guys, I love the idea of this thread and have been wanting to participate, so I'll toss in my quickie.

I've only recently begun to truly dive into learning about colors (instead of winging it) so it's a little progress every time. I'm also glad that the 'Drawing a day' rule isn't being enforced, because I certainly wouldn't be able to keep it up.
