0 points from my kicker, amazing.

Shit like this is why I will always remove the kicker position from every league I run. It's way too random.

No, it's not. A good offensive team gives the kicker many chances to score. Now if they are too good, you'll get many XPs but less FG attempts

Great, Seattle being Seattle helped Primetime hit his overall point projections. GREAT...

Now I actually have to rely on LDT to give me some points.

Why the fuck did I take Jamaal Charles with the 5th pick when I could have taken McCoy?

same here, don't know why :(

larry fitz disappointed, maclin as well.

started flacco over cam newton, but didn't know he'd explode in his debut

So much rage this week.

Fuck the Chiefs for getting absolutely steamrolled. Fuck Dwayne Bowe. Charles did alright, but fuck him, that's shit for a first rounder. Fuck Cleveland for giving up 27 points to the Bungles. Fuck Rapistberger, fuck Matt Ryan, and fuck the NYG defense for getting shredded by Sexy Rexy.

Gould is Frank's MVP of course...

:P
You could have used a better kicker today but at least it won't impact the win. Your team came through strong for you in Week 1. Nicely done.

Shame there's absolute trash on the waiver wire for those of us who lost. I don't want any of that junk. Perhaps someone will emerge in tomorrow night's games.

On the bright side, my Boom or Bust strategy in the Economy league went BOOM today.

lol he meant felix or someone run it in, the guy he was playing against has romo and witten, so that was a 12 point swing

and thanks uber! got lucky on defense, but i'll take it!

In my 3 leagues

Leading by 20 with 4 players left
Up by 1 but im done and opponent was Lloyd left
Down by 28 with Brady,85, Sebass and Pats D left. So Im hoping to go 2-1 for first week

Damn Cloudy. I could have come back but Tolbert had to lead the league in RB scoring this week. Before getting injured.

On the plus side, Tate worked out and Foster should be back shortly. MSW can rest while Meachem comes in to pick up Colston's slack.

Pretty similar for me. Down by about that much, but with Brady, Lloyd, Janikowski and Pats D vs. Orton.

I'm happy I decided to start Fitzpatrick today. If I didn't it would of been a guaranteed victory for Puddles. Only up by 4 pts right now but I have Marshall and he has Ford left so unless something crazy happens I should have this.

I thought I was going to steamroll the Klams in the No Quitters league, but then Vernon Davis didn't do shit, and neither did my RBs. I only win this if Jacoby Ford outscores Brandon Marshall by 4 1/2 points.

In the Economy League, I've got about a one point lead, but I need Darren McFadden to outscore Ochocinco and No-Show combined.

So I'm probably looking at going 0-2 in GAF leagues.

The auction league is absolutely retarded. There's no fractional scoring, and a bunch of my guys put x9 yards in some category. I posted a note asking the commish to turn it on for next week, and all I got was a reply from some pissant saying "Nope."

What complete horseshit. A team could score more points even though it put up fewer overall yards if fractional scoring isn't turned on. Whoever posted "Nope" like a little dickhead can go get fucked.

My economy team did pretty good. I think I will like the way they turn out. However in the No Quitters league Blout and Williams barely even showed up. Never going to win with performances like that.

Did they change the rules after you signed up? If so yeah, quit. If you change the rules midseason without a vote, may as well gtfo before it explodes. But if it was there beforehand, well, you should play on.

In chuckddd's auction league right now, there's another insane rule - no sunday-tuesday waivers. FAAB is effectively useless. I've asked for a switch, but I'll play ball. It may be completely stupid to run leagues that way but if I stared at the fine print closely enough I would have noticed.

Ugh, the economy league is going to kill me this year.

My team: projected points - 77.97, actual points - 76.42 --- OK, not too bad, I can live with that.

but then...

My opponent: projected points - 70.10, actual points - 114.68 --- WTF, I hate goddamn fantasy football! Argh!

I asked them to change it for next week. I didn't realize fractional scoring was turned off when I joined it.

I don't see how it's an unreasonable change to make post-draft. It's not like anyone's strategy would depend on something like that. "Fuck you, I drafted Cedric Benson because he always knows how many yards he's at. If he's about to hit 79 yards on the ground, he ALWAYS dives to get to 80!"

That is pretty frustrating because you feel like the other team got lucky, but you should look at it more like yahoo sucks at projections rather than you got screwed.

They were right about Chris Johnson somehow (I have him in one league). I was laughing at yahoo projecting him to score like 6 points. Little did I know their projection was actually on the high side. :(

I need the Raiders to run up the score with McFadden and Ford both putting up some points if I'm to have any hope of not starting out my fantasy football season 0-5.

That was me :)
Yeah I knew the projections were way off. I went off ESPN's and it was more in line. I am in an ESsPN league and I like everything about their setup better. Especially since their mobile app actually works.

Yeah, I know. They use statistical averaging over the entire season which can't really account for week-to-week fluctuations based on opponent, injury, venue, etc. Still, it can be a somewhat reasonable estimate. The problem is those weeks when one or two of your opponent's players have a fluke game. I also realize it works both ways. I had a fantasy game years ago which I should have lost but one of my players score five touchdowns (!) in a single game. Boy was my opponent pissed.

So, looks like I picked a winner with Hernandez as well. Pretty solid team for picking 16th in the draft. Feeling really good about this season barring injuries...

First time doing Fantasy.

And I hate Buccaneers

Since Ochocinco didn't do jack, it's basically McFadden vs No-Show in the Economy League. I should win that matchup.

On the other hand, I'm going to lose badly in the No Quitters League unless Ford puts up huge numbers. That fumble isn't helping.

I feel like I beat cloudy in spirit thanks to tonight's games. I'm not sure why. Maybe because I own Brady and McFadden in my keeper league.

told you it was too early to call it a loss yesterday lol

New commish note in the Economy League.

We need a name for the weekly award for the team that scores the most points. I'll take suggestions.

What's the worst draft you guys have ever had?

For me it was one of my leagues last year. $100 buy-in. I decided to stock up at RB, get a bottom of the 1st tier TE, then take a QB late.

1st - Andre Johnson. Good pick.
2nd - Ryan Mathews. Horrible pick. The next RB on my depth chart was Arian Foster.
3rd - Roddy White. My last good pick.
4th - Pierre Thomas. I thought he was going to do big things. Haha. He was a game-time decision for like a month, then sat out another month, then sucked when he came back.
5th - Jonathan Stewart. I had him pegged for 1000 yards and 8-10 TDs. I still curse his name.
6th - Brent Celek. Had him as the #5 TE on the board. I think he finished as the #20-something TE. His picture causes me to fly into a rage.
7th - Jay Cutler. He was good for two weeks.
8th - Tim Hightower. He was also good for two weeks.

I started out 2-0, then my RBs completely fell apart, and Cutler started sucking. I still managed to finish 4th in that league by killing it on the waiver wire, but damn, that was one complete failure of a draft.
