For those that are new or don't have much experience, I think I speak for all of the veterans that you make sure that you can commit the time to it. Thankfully, you don't have to commit too much time. All it takes is around 15 minutes every few days to see if you have any proposed trades, make sure your rosters are up to date (ie don't have an injured guy not on your IR), etc.


It sucks to see a team in last place with Ovechkin because the person doesn't keep their roster up to date.

I think I will bring my "swing for the fences" style of fantasy drafting to the mix. I believe I won the first GAF Yahoo hockey pool back in aught-three... but ignoring online my first pool was 1994. Back when men were men, and if you wanted to know the standings you either had to wait for the monthly update mail (yes, actual mail), call the guy doing the stats on the phone or do the standings by hand on Tuesday's when the full stats sheet was in the paper.

Been a rough few years for me in Yahoo, I keep trying to ignore goalies completely the first few rounds and in our hugeass league goalies are hugely over-valued. I wonder what Return of the Jets will be called this year lol.

Maybe we should get commissioners for the leagues now so each can arrange a draft with whoever is in their league. We can do 5 now and that would cover us until we reach 60. After that any more leagues need to fill themselves.

Well, Yahoo seems to have fixed their problems and their signups are open... if any GAFers out there are looking for a league, I'm starting up a H2H dynasty with a salary cap. Feel free to PM if you're interested in joining/want more details.

Yeah, it would probably be good to have a rough date so that no one misses out. I don't know about anyone else, but I think it would be best to pick a bit before the start of pre-season games.

I think we should separate into divisions first so each league can set a day that works best for their group. Getting 50 people to agree on a day/time is going to be impossible.

Not trying to step on OP toes, but I'm willing to run a league. I haven't seen an invite from this thread so I'll step up and setup a league, but I'll still join another league if the OP is still sending invites.

No invites for my league so it's first come, first serve regardless of experience. It's a Yahoo 12 team head to head league.

So question about the league because this is the first time I've done fantasy hockey from the start like this. Can you rotate bench players with anyone else on the team at any time? And how exactly do trades work with other people?
