In the 16-bit days I only had a Mega Drive, so the SNES itself does not fill me with nostalgia, but the Super Play issue just takes me back (even though I never read an issue of Super Play before, the magazines I did read had a similar look/feel - it's just so welcoming!)

After searching on and off all year, I finally found a copy of Blade Runner on Blu-ray...at a Walmart bargain bin. It was at a Walmart I only went to once before, when I was in a bit of a hurry.

While it's not the version I was hoping to get, I'm glad to finally have a copy to watch. The other versions of the movie are always sold out (or overpriced from third-parties) online whenever I check.

Decided to buy all the older gen games I've always wanted, only to find that the GameCube is the only console of the three which is still working fine. God bless Nintendo and their sturdy consoles. Will take a while to get used to the controls in Twin Snakes but looking forward to playing that.

Also Zoe 2 arrived like two days before the HD VR remaster was announced.

Got lucky and walked into Best Buy 5 mins after they opened and got a ticket for:

Been going through a bunch of Pro/HDR enabled games. When the implementation is done right, HDR looks amazing. UHD movies look incredible, and the application of HDR on that side is done far better. I've downgraded firmware's because LG has ruined HDR Game Mode and raised black levels with the newest firmware, and since then everything's been great.

Overall OLED is incredible and I'm so glad I didn't go with another LED. The picture is outstanding. Looking forward to `2020 when I upgrade to a 70''+!

This Month:

Needed a new wireless headset and got a 2TB external HDD for the PS4 Pro.

Wow you went all out there. I have the CSL wheel, and the clubsport v1 pedals. The CSL has very strong FFB so I can only imagine what the clubsport v2 feels like. Have fun.

The FFB is incredible. Before adjusting my settings, I took a drive on the Nurburgring in a 911 on Assetto Corsa. When I hit the rumble strip, the wheel damn near flew out of my hands lol.

got my new car. So happy man. The Q60 is such a beautiful beast

I just got a new car.
I am loving my new ride. Infiniti Q60 . WOw, it is just beautiful.
And has a very good torque considering the one I got is 2.0 turbo (I am coming from a dodge charger Hemi)

The interior is very luxurious, and feels very premium.
The exterior is just jaw dropping.

Now to tint my windows!!!

Obligatory SNES Classic Hype. So looking forward to some classic JRPG's

I'm intending to pick-up Gold shortly too but Silver was my game growing up.

My favourite Final Fantasy by a country mile so it was a minute 1 purchase for me. Loving replaying it so far.

Compared to some of the half-assed book+OST collectors editions Nintendo are pumping out at the moment, this is a thing of beauty.

Originally rented this but fell in love so I had to snap up the CE when I spotted it cheap on fleabay.

Nobody ask why I've bought a second Switch lol - Better accessories this time though

Not a great charity shop month but these things ebb and flow and Batman was a nice find.

This is an incredible set. These are the Harmy Despecialized versions burned to blurays with the art printed on the discs, exterior and interior art, interactive menus, separate discs loaded with documentaries and with full restored HD quality versions of the untampered films.

Ah nice, another fan of the Despecialized editions. I did a Star Wars marathon before The Force Awakens released and I used these ones. They are indeed glorious.
