They failed at studio reform? When did they start? Uncharted 4, Lost Legacy, and TLOU2 all share the same engine. That is where you get your efficiency from and you still had people complaining about that saying it was 2.5 games. Ignoring that two of those games were generational.
My god, will you just stop? You know this is bullshit. The studio restructure started around 2020. IMO, it was largely in response to Kotaku's expose on the devilish crunch and high standards ND was imposing for TLOU2, on top of the production mess that was Uncharted 4.
Both Druckmann and Wells explained this publicly.
“We definitely have multiple projects, but only one that is getting the lion’s share of focus”…

You have no idea what other games they have in development or when they'll come out.
The article above also explains that they don't have hundreds of people working on more than 1 game at a time. It's something between 85 and 95% that Intergalactic is the only title in development over there, and guaranteed that if there is another project, it's TLOU3 at a stage even earlier than pre-production. It might not even be something Druckmann is even considering by his own words.
Jason Schreier hasn't confirmed shit. Do I expect the game in 2026? No, but am I going to make an argument assuming it comes out in 2027? No.
Get over it man. No one likes Jason Schreier, but if he makes a definitive statement about large studios like ND, it's a fact.
That wasn't a projection, that was simple math to show you that the rate of development if a game takes 5 years or 7 years barely matters in the long scheme of things and rather than hyperfocus on on quantity, we should care about quality.
Spider-Man 2 was a direct sequel to Spider-Man 1 and it used much of the same map and tons of asset re-use and was highly criticized for not feeling more next gen. You can't have it both ways.
What? That's exactly my point! They already had SM1 and Miles Morales, they took as long on SM2, and it came out with Ubisoft-esque repackaging of the same shit.
LOL, that Intergalactic trailer was one of the best looking things we've seen in gaming. You're not serious.
You and ND can tell yourselves that when the game flops. You're not a real fan of PS by doing this shit, I hope you realize.
What are you basing that on? How many games did Sucker Punch put out on PS4? Santa Monica? CDPR? Rockstar?
SP put out 2 full games and one shorter AAA PS4-gen title - Santa Monica put out 1 after canning a new IP and being on the brink of shutdown. CDPR put out 2 huge open world games; Rockstar put out 1.
SP's output was good enough, especially having cancelled a new IP between First Light and Ghost. Santa Monica's is not ideal, but understandable. It's pretty inexcusable for them to now only have 1 current gen only game. Unless TW4 is an all around generationally defining title, I don't think that having 1 game in the span of a whole gen is reasonable. That game is also not coming next year, and Cyberpunk 2 is probably a mid gen PS6 title, which is utterly ridiculous. I think Rockstar is cashing in
all of their chips with GTA6. I don't think they can do another 13 year gap between titles like that again without serious declines... the dev time inflation has only been a negative for other "can do no wrong" studios like BioWare and BGS.
Xbox hasn't had a hit new game in over a decade. Try more.
Yes, let's wait to get to that point before ringing the alarm bells. My God. Lmao
I don't think you know what the word inefficient means.
You should be embarrassed. There is no argument that everything I listed was both inefficient use of resources AND sheer incompetence.
