That's a thing of beauty, I used to do the same with my GBA games. I also have a stack of empty DS cases I bought, for the random "cart only" DS sales I find.

The last FMA:B box set.
Ending was disappointing.

Hopefully they will start to package more episodes together, now that they have reached the end. It is nice having the original FMA in 2 sets. It was been tough holding off buying the FMA:B sets, but I didnt want 5 separate sets.

I want to do this someday but I recall reading recently that they started taking the GBA slot out of new DS cases. Is there any amount of truth to this?

The replacement cases still have the GBA slots. They don't however fit GBA manuals properly, but it's better than nothing.

Here's your review: They are awesome.

I absolutely love mine. And this is coming from someone who also has Astro A40s and the wireless mix amp. I'm selling my A40 package and sticking with these.

I got a chance to use mine a little more today and I second this. They are really comfortable and I am really impressed with the sound.

Not in my (considerable) experience.

Is there anything someone a US PS3 owner should know about a JP system? Swapped buttons, etc.? I'm thinking of picking up a GT5 system.

Had to up the audio game:

- B+W C5 | I adore them aside from the tips that are virtually impossible to change without being disintegrated.

- Sony Wireless Stereo Headset | Got these for $65 during a sale and due to a billing issue was given an additional $15 off. More than happy at $50.

Wow, it's a big month for you, did you choose this break especially for your newborn?

Here is Aus this car is called a Mondeo. I did specifically buy this car for carting the wife, kid and dog around, and there are not too many options for wagons here, but this car is awesome and I am very happy with it :)

In the menus and in games that query the system locale, 'Confirm/Open' is O, 'Cancel/Close' is 'X', reversed from US/PAL conventions. It makes for some mind-bending stuff when eg. you go to save in a game where the Confirm option is hard-coded to X. Select the save option in the game with X, then select the save slot in the XMB with O, then exit the XMB save menu with X, and then exit the in-game menu with O. I've been doing it for ages and it still trips me up sometimes :(

Other than that it's pretty much identical.

Also no blood in Uncharted 1 (unless they've patched it)

A store in Osaka has had this thing in the box kicking around for about 4000 yen for a while now, with a free AV cable and power brick too. Couldn't resist adding it and its beautiful picture quality to my setup.

Also another bite taken out of the vast cookie which is my trying to collect every Nintendo-published Famicom/Famicom Disk System game with box and manual.

That's the cart version of Zelda, Yoshi's Cookie and Yoshi, Fire Emblem Gaiden, Joy Mecha Fight (awesome), Kirby's Adventure, and Mother. Mother especially is in incredible shape, and even has the little promotional flyer advertising the release of the CD single later in 1989. NEAT

Your posts make me miss Japan so much! :)

I had a blast tooling around Den Den Town (and resale shops in Mie, during the 3 years I lived there) searching for games and other cool stuff.

If you haven't already, be sure to check out the Mandarake stores in Osaka!
There's one in Umeda and one in Namba, both of which are full of games, toys, manga, and just about everything else. Their prices are pretty great too!
For example, I found a CIB copy of the US version of "The Amazing Spider-Man: Web of Fire" for 32X for 2600yen. It sells for as much as $200 online!

I, too, have been trying to collect every Nintendo-published game, but I only went for the JP-exclusives as I already have most of the US-released stuff.
I mostly collected Super Famicom games, but I got some great FC/FDS games too like Joy Mech Fight, Devil World, Doki Doki Panic, and a copy of (not an original) All-Night Nippon Super Mario Bros.

Dr. Slump #13 (only one volume to go :D).
FNAC was giving some steel boxes of Dead Island and SpaceMarines, just awesome and for free.

And today has arrived one awesome pick-up. Boxed Game Boy pocket with original GameBoy colors, I think it was japanese exclusive.

Hell this month XD:

Nice. Was going to get it myself, but then I saw how expensive the shipping was, it kinda put me off.
