Another one bites the dust. My list next year will have Zelda and Persona once again for the third year in a row!
And we were making so much progress towards avoiding the "4 out of our top 10 games get bumped to the next year" curse, too.
Hell, if The Last Guardian gets bumped to 2017, we'll hit 5 misses for the first time. We really need to do a better job of voting for games that are right around the corner in these threads.
And, because I jinxed myself yesterday saying I would only need to do one pre-E3 revision to this list... unless you speak Japanese, of course, in which case you have an actual Persona game to play this year instead of just one to watch on Twitch...
1. Uncharted 4: A Thief's End (Metacritic & OpenCritic = 93)
Persona 5 (September 15th - in Japan; localization delayed 'til February 14th, 2017) {voted 8th most anticipated of 2014; voted 6th most anticipated of 2015}
Horizon: Zero Dawn (delayed 'til February 28th, 2017; shinobi602 was right)
The Legend of Zelda (delayed 'til "sometime in 2017") {voted 3rd most anticipated of 2015}
2. Dark Souls III (Metacritic = 89 / OpenCritic = 88)
Mass Effect: Andromeda (delayed 'til Q1 2017)
3. The Last Guardian (TBD 2016; recent IGN and Edge previews have me re-convinced a 2016 release window will be hit)
4. Final Fantasy XV (September 30th)
5. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided (August 23rd)
6. No Man's Sky (August 9th; let's see if this date holds) {voted 8th most anticipated of 2015}
7. Street Fighter V (Metacritic = 78 / OpenCritic = 76)
8. NieR: Automata (TBD 2016; was recently left off Square Enix's list of major titles releasing through March 2017)
9. Tom Clancy's The Division (Metacritic & OpenCritic = 80)
10. Mirror's Edge Catalyst (Metacritic = 72 / OpenCritic = 73)
ON THE TOP 10 BUBBLE
Quantum Break (Metacritic = 77 / OpenCritic = 76)
Fire Emblem Fates (Metacritic = 87 / OpenCritic = 86)
Zero Time Dilemma (June 28th)
Man, there were a lot of people excited for Mirror's Edge Catalyst. Shame how that turned out.
Still fared better than The Order: 1886, at least. We were so off the mark on that one.
