Nero 7 supports Blu Ray...

No it doesn't. Nero doesn't exist. It hasn't been shown to exist. A reasonable theory on how Nero could possibly exist hasn't even been put forth.

Well your ugly dog exists so Nero must too.

Sorta like the humor in your post.

Sorry to be obscure. Reference: http://www.tgdaily.com/2005/09/27/hd_dvd_support_a_last_minute_switch/index.html

But the two companies looked beneath the paper: Capacity, said Ribas, "used to be the biggest advantage of Blu-ray, and we believed it. We thought, they'll get 50 GByte BD-ROM discs working, but it's not happening, and it's nowhere in sight. There are not even pilots. It's only in the lab that they are building these discs.

Only in the lab, and only in Nero, I guess.

Er, I imagine Nero supports any drive that does the right ATA commands for writing....
It doesn't seem to be that simple. Every time I've gotten a new burner I've had to get a new version of Nero that had support. Hm.

Erm, hasn't this been known? I remember seeing some pics from a conference at least 1-2 months ago that showed Nero with support for BluRay... (had the actual program running)

They demonstrated support for blu ray last month at IFA 2005.

Whats new this week is the public release of the software.

Usually this is just so Nero can test it and make sure they can workaround any quirks in the drive's firmware.

If a drive correctly supports the MMC spec, it should (in theory) just work.

Wow, thanks. :) That's interesting. Huh, if disc burning is so simple, I wonder what MS is huffing about. The competitor's machine (PS3) having a lock on the next-gen DVD format, I reckon.

Anyone know how to get Nero to not automatically try and create a multisession disc all the damn time?

I can't stand that it's always trying to make a multisession disc, and I'd rather it just to No Multisession and Finalize disc.

Yeah, try selecting the Finalize option before clicking burn. PEACE.

Pimpwerx, what I'm saying is if I open nero and try to burn a disc, it's automatically on "Start Multisession " in the multisession tab, and "finalize CD (No further writing possible!)" is grayed out and not checked in the burn tab.

I have to manually got over to the Multisession tab, click No Multisession, and then go back to Burn and check Finalize CD.

I want it to be automatically on No Multisession and Finalize CD if possible.

Yes that can be annoying as fuck, Nero never seems to save settings previously used.
