Probably a longshot but does anyone in the US have a copy of Metal Storm you might be looking to part with? I'm looking to buy for a fair price but I'm looking to pay less than the current ceiling on eBay....

That's right, I've quoted my own post so as to remind y'all to vote! I'll do it again if I have to.
Crazy to think it's already gonna be 2017, and here we are still playing the NES. Turns out you can't keep a true classic system down!
Ok, this is cool.

Glad I got my Metal Storm a long time ago, hope you find one too Radarscope!
Anyways, i checked out this for the first time:
Took about two minutes to see this guy for the first time:
Guess I need to work hard on this one to get anywhere.
I love DK3. Great mix of Donkey Kong and Galaga. Stanley is the man! Seriously, I fire up DK3 from time to time.Played some Donkey Kong 3 last night. Made it to round 17 and scored 228k points. Have never dug into this one before. Really quirky but cool.

On a completely unrelated note (but while I'm in this thread), I was wondering if anyone knew if you can play PAL games on the NA NES machines. Looking into getting the New Ghostbusters 2 game by HAL.
Usually go for 60+ bucks now. Also anyone who doesn't have Darkwing Duck, it's slowly been creeping up in value. It's probably time to buy now or miss out.
Y'all just made me buy DK3 lol I don't know why I don't own it to begin with anyway
Black box games! Love them.
I just went ahead and bought the Famicom cart. It was much cheaper.
Looking at this again, it seems that you didn't pick up the torches on the walls. This is the only way to permanently screw yourself in Shadowgate. If you run out of torches, you die. You'll start back in the previous room like you always do, but you still won't have any torches so you'll die again soon.
Bought DK3 and Popeye for the Famicom, two interesting games from Nintendos early games that Im looking forward to check out.
You didn't get boxes by any chance did you? I need better condition boxes for my pulse line gamesBought DK3 and Popeye for the Famicom, two interesting games from Nintendos early games that Im looking forward to check out.

All in all an interesting game well worth checking out for fans of the genre, looking forward to Deja Vu and Univited!
Uninvited is my favourite of the MacVentures. I just love the horror aesthetic, and the game is just as crazy as Shadowgate, but with more gruesome deaths.
Happy Thanksgiving to all you USAmericans. I'm always thankful for the resources and conversation this thread provides. Thankful to be an NES owner and glad I lived through it all back in the day!!
I never use warps when I play this game so for me it'll always be a challenge even with so many extra lives due to the tough later stages.I'll talk you all through Battletoads if Battletoads wins. I'll show you that it's not that hard. It'll be a fun time. Some of the toughest parts of the game are skippable because of the warps. There are areas where you can get infinite lives by exploiting the reappearing 1-ups and point system. Every time you get 100,000 points you get an extra life, and 1-ups will reappear every time you die, so you can keep getting the 1-up, dying on purpose, and building up points.
This sounds interesting, I just realized I dont own it so will have to rectify that. I do own Deja Vu though, on a cart with its sequel that came out for Gbc, so might have to check that out first.
Yup, I have that cart too, great stuff, and great value when it came out! I didn't even know Deja Vu 2 existed until that rerelease. It's a shame Uninvited never got a GBC port, then we would've had all 4 MacVentures on the platform.
Speaking of Adventure Games on the NES, anyone ever play Nightshade? I just learned about it a little while ago, looks right up my alley.
I love Nes-Batman, so yeah, I would definitely get it!
Great game, but one hard son of a bitch.Batman NES is amazing. It's a no brainer for 10
You think so? Once I got down to brass tacks with it, I didn't think it was too badGreat game, but one hard son of a bitch.
It took me months to beat it without dying so yeah it wasn't so easy, not with some annoying enemies, that last stage and the Joker. It's sequel Return of the Joker however was much easier for me.You think so? Once I got down to brass tacks with it, I didn't think it was too bad
