Funny, it looked harder than the first Batman to me.Return of the Joker is ridiculously easy.

It may look harder, but trust me, it's not. The sections in levels are pretty short, mostly not too difficult besides 3-1 and 5-1 and the bosses are pretty easy for the most part. You get powerups as well like being invincible and destroying everything in your path for a limited amount of time. Also going to each stage refills your health to full rather than just 4 bars of health in the 1st Batman game.Funny, it looked harder than the first Batman to me.
That's why I bought it when I did.It bothers me that Return of the Jokers are getting destroyed to make Mr Gimmicks. It also annoys the fuck out of me that it's cause the price of RoTJ to fucking skyrocket.
I'm ok with that too, for any game even. I just want to see if I can do it, that's all.=pTimu, not everyone can be so hardcore. I am OK using lives and continues!
I spent most of my time mastering the 3rd and last stages more than anything, lol.I could see no death running it being hard, but it's not that hard to tank your way through if you don't care about not dying
Return of the Joker is ridiculously easy.
Oh wow, really?=O The Joker can be tough but punch at perfect spots to beat him.Oh man, the last stage is a tough one for sure. I don't think I've ever actually beat Batman, made it all the way to the end, but couldn't finish.
One of the toughest boss fights on the system, or at least to perfect. The Joker fight has to be one of my favorite boss fights on the NES! What a great game.

CV3 isn't an fds game, but includes a sound chip in the cart. But just as with fds games, your nes would have to be modded for the sound to be audible. Everdrive fds sound emulation leaves a lot to be desired though, and I'm not sure how accurate the VRC6 emulation is either.I beat him the other day just using the punch, it's avoiding that gun shot that's the trick, absolutely destroys your life bar.
Quick question. If I were to play the FDS version of Castlevania 3 through my everdrive in my front loader. Woud I get the extra sound channel and the better music? Anyone know?
Yeah that sucks. Espeacially because ROTJ is one of the most incredible NES games from a technical perspective. It bothers me that Return of the Jokers are getting destroyed to make Mr Gimmicks. It also annoys the fuck out of me that it's cause the price of RoTJ to fucking skyrocket.

Yeah the game is a visual wonderland.Yeah that sucks. Espeacially because ROTJ is one of the most incredible NES games from a technical perspective.

Yeah it's still inaccurate, clear audible differences. But it at least sounds good and in tune. FDS however suuuuuuuuucks on Everdrive.Akumajou Densetsu (Castlevania 3) actually sounds really good on the Everdrive in my AV Famicom. FDS games sound terrible, but the VRC6 emulation seems pretty good!
i might get a top loader w dogbone and zapper for 100, is that worth it or too much? i have 2 hours to decide =)
NES or Famicom? Not exactly a deal but you're not overpaying. Just remember that you'll have to mod the NES for even shitty composite. At least an AV Fami already has that. Though I assume you'll be headed toward an RGB mod either way at some point...
Still, an AV Fami is more versatile. It's the "best NES."
ok, thanks, i don't know too much about composite so thanks! i was looking at the nes top loader.
i guess i should shop around for an AV Fami. ok i'll hold off.

So I've been cleaning my house for christmas and found this obscure NES game that I completely forgot that I bought for 50,- NOK (~$5) a few summers ago at this huge ass flea market. Didn't think much of it at the time and put it away in a box where it's been gathering dust ever since.
Thought it might be of interest to you guys. I've never been the biggest gaming collector, mainly due to lack of disposable income. Didn't find much information online but it is kinda rare apparently, which was a pleasant surprise. I always evy people lucking out on rare retro games. Guess it was my turn this time, and I didn't even know it.
Thanks! Followed the guide with two controllers that was in best condition. The main problem with some of my controllers is that the rubber pads are completely borked to the point where they almost don't hold together at all, which results in some terrible feedback when pressing buttons. They're not as "tactile" as the better ones that I have. Bought some original refurbished controllers while I was at it.Just give the controllers a good once-over. It's dead easy. They should be nearly good as new unless they've been truly beaten up over the years. Here's the best tutorial I've seen. It's a Master System controller, but it's exactly the same process since this controller is nearly identical to an NES one.

It was the annual Mjøsmarkedet at Biri Travbane near Lillehammer. It is primarily an event for vintage car enthusiasts but people are free to set up stands around the entire racetrack and the surrounding area and sell whatever they want.Congrats! Where in Norway was this? I have never seen this game in the open, and Ive been hunting flea markets in Bergen for almost ten years lol.

Any recommendations on SD cards for the N8 Everdrive? Picking one up soon and I heard it can be a bit finicky? I don't have excess cards and would prefer to not strike out when getting one for it.

Weird little store locally over here had this beaut for $30 today. It was in perfect shape, and some days it's my favorite game ever, so I couldn't say no.
The dude at the counter was really confused about what it was. I tried to explain it and he replied "I grew up with a Nintendo but I ain't never heard of nothing like this before".
