After playing Cocoron and seeing how Kitamura's games are basically evolved versions of Mega Man I am DYING to own Little Samson.
There's no way I'm paying current eBay prices, though =[
Should've picked up a complete Lickle when I had the chance.
I tried to find the best way to avoid the lightning and it made a huge difference as I was able to beat him better though still took some damage.Good job! Joker is best dealt with regular punches, taking advantage of the fact that he can't shoot you if you're close because of his comically long gun and that he passes through you without incident while he blinks after taking damage. You also have to know how far away from him to be so that the lightning doesn't hit you.
I'm really curious to see what you think of Dynamite Batman. I don't like the gameplay much at all. It's like a really zoomed in run 'n gun with bad, bad weapon choices.
About how much is Little Samson worth these days? I have two copies, so was thinking about getting rid of one of them.

If you're willing to let it go cheap to a GAFfer lemme know![]()
Why are people paying $100 for a Little Samson repro? The repro isn't rare. Just buy an Everdrive. How stupid are people?
Price looks to be about $700-$800, going by completed auctions. Awful!
Darn was worth a shot. Lemme know if it falls through.I actually have a buyer already, so was just interested in what I should suggest as the price. Also, probably using the money to buy stuff I miss in my colection like Ufouria, Panic Restaurant etc, so dont really want to let it go much below current prices. Definitely dont want to rip-off anybody either though, which is why I am asking.

Very cool. Could pass for a real system if it was presented as one.Famicube gotta be the niftiest NES fanfic (slight NSFW warning)

What? Why are people making repros of commercial carts?
Because that's what a repro is?
I think people like having the cart in their collection even if it has to be a repro until they can get the real thing.
Edit: Looked back a page and saw all the Castlevania talk. I just wanted to throw my opinion out and say I love Dracula X. Rondo of Blood is fantastic and all, but I prefer the SNES one. I even prefer Dracula X to Super Castlevania IV.
Repros are great for homebrew, hacks, and fan translations, but it feels a little gross using them for commercial releases to me.
My man.
Thought this would be interesting...
Amazing post. Heartwarming stuff.

Seems like you did all right. That's cheaper than what it's been going for on Yahoo Auctions for months with the last cart only sold being the only one that really sold in that range at 6,250 yen. Everything else was over 7,000 and generally swayed more towards 8,000+.Anybody know what the going rate is for a loose Famicom cartridge of Castlevania (Akumajo Dracula) now? I just picked one up at a local store for $50, which seemed like a good deal compared to prices I've seen in the past. There's only one copy of the cartridge on eBay right now, and it's a CIB for $300.
Quoted for truth.Genesis is the only system worth CIB and only the plastic cases, not the cheaper cardboard boxes they switched to.
Nintendo and their cardboard boxes for NES, SNES and N64 sucked.
I'll do CIB for games I love if I find a good deal, but never at eBay prices.
Check my posts back through the thread, I've posted several lists.Anyways, the real question i wanted to ask was, what are some of the best FDS games you can play without knowing Japanese, and weren't released in some form in the US?

Check out my review of it from a new years agoReally awesome one I enjoy a lot that I'm amazed didn't get released here is Ai Senshi Nicol / Love Warrior Nicol from Konami. Really great top-down adventure game with a sci-fi theme. Plays like a more polished version of the top-down areas from Blaster Master. Colorful graphics and a trademark quality Konami soundtrack.
