Yay!!! SEALAB AND AQUA TEEN! ME HAPPY! Tom goes to the mayor is pretty funny too!

You were doing so good until the end of the sentence. I thnk you meant 'shitty' instead of 'funny'.

I wouldn't count on VB being cancelled just yet. Jackson Publick said CN wouldn't decide about another season until January at the earliest. So even if they do greenlight another season, it wouldn't be ready to air until late 2005 at the earliest (more likely early 2006). Though the fact that CN removed all VB related merchandise from the store isn't very encouraging.

EDIT: Hmmm. I can't find that January date I mentioned earlier. I thought he said it on there but maybe I was mistaken.

Venture Brothers is hands-down the best original show AS has ever had. Everything about the show screams quality - while ATHF and Sealab are funny, VB is just a lot more sophisticated and doesn't get old nearly as fast (evidenced by being able to support full half-hour episodes). Hell, almost every damn character in the show is an instant classic - The Monarch and Doctor Orpheus alone could each star in their own shows.

I cannot wait for ATHF, Boondocks, and American Dad. The other stuff I've seen lately has been kinda bleh, TGTTM is kinda ok, but the other new stuff is pretty awful. PHF was the worst thing I've ever seen on AS.

New ATHF? I thought the third season was the last.

Any other news on what anime to expect in 05? Whatever happened to Gundam Seed?

Gundam Seed was moved to Friday Nights at 1am. After GS is either a .hack series or that retro anime thingie...

BTW, Gundam Seed was part of Toonami, not Adult Swim.

ATHF is one of their highest rated shows. It's usually first or second highest rated.

Will this be the funny "first two years black Calvin and Hobbes" Boondocks, or the unfunny "HAY GUYS BUSH SUX I HAET 'PUBLICANS" recent years Boondocks?

So does this mean we're not getting anymore Venture Brothers? I am truly saddened. Such a great show...

Dr. Orpheus: Do not be too hasty entering that room. I had Taco Bell for lunch!
How could they let this show go?! :(

Dr. Orpheus: Don't worry, pumpkin. It is not my intention to shame them. I just have to keep them safe. I will be their shadow! Nay, their unseen guardian angel! Pumpkin!! Get me my cloak!
Triana: Why don't you wear the uh-
Dr. Orpheus: Alright fine. Get me my BLUE WINDBREAKER!!
Of course, it's much funnier hearing him say this stuff. :p

New episodes of Family Guy, and that other Seth McFarlane show, and Harvey Birdman almost make up for the loss of VB though.

Man that sucks about VB, that show is great. Should have been on AS Sunday not Saturday.
Well, they did play re-runs of it on Sunday, didn't they?

The fact that Stroker and Hoop is getting a second chance while Venture Brothers seems to be kicked to the side, I think I can safely say that Adult Swim has officially jumped the shark.

The only new anime confirmed for 2005 would be Ghost in the Shell Standalone Complex 2nd GIG (2nd season of the show, 26 more episodes), which we've known about for a while now. I'm interested to see what they decide to bring over...

so these are the new episodes of Family Guy? or are the new episodes going to be aired on Fox until Fox butchers the schedule and ruins the show again?

Venture Brothers got picked up for another season as did ninja turtles. I bumped into a a friend I went to college with on the subway who works on Ninja Turtles he told me it's doing pretty well. Oh we also talked about venture brothers, I had the opportunity to do layouts and character sheets (pasted it up) which is where I found out they got the greet light for a second season which won't go into production till next month. The production part I found out from the animation director

I could have sex with your right now green wasabi.

Now if they would only remove the crap (Squidbillies, Hooper and whatever the fuck, perfect hair forever, TGTTM, Milk Chan) and bring back oblongs and Space Ghost the world would be complete...

That was just a joke promo campaign. God, the forum was in a mess for months behind that. I still remember all those "Iz teH AHTF canceld?" n00b threads.

What happened to Family Guy coming back to Fox!?!
It is, from what I understand, going to be on both Adult Swim AND Fox. It's still kind of unclear who is getting the actual premiers.
