I think it would be a big mistake to have realistic human faces on androids. It triggers uncanny valley but also builds empathy that is counter productive to the point of an android.

Better off with the simplistic emoji style that triggers a lot less Terminator vibes but still allows for some personality IMHO

This is awesome. So cool to see how much more fluid they got the movements. Soon we can have robots like this in our homes. Hopefully don't have to wait to long!

They are literally building our replacements....everyone saying how "cool" this is and how they cant wait to have it in their homes is incredibly naive. You won't be able to afford this, but your corporations will. You will have no job, no money, and nothing to own. And that's the least dystopian outcome. The reality is probably more along the lines of once this is perfected, they just release the next version of the rona to wipe all the peons out because now the robots can keep their creature comforts humming along for them. All while we seal clap along for them.

And keep in mind robot technology is not just devoted to making these machines stiff party attractions either. They're working on mobility even more. It's all coming together.

And we all know AI is getting better all the time

Is that something they can do on the fly or is it a meticulously programed sequence? Ie if I move one of those platforms will they jump into mid air and fall?
