Great episode -- the hook is classic. I also love how they brought back the "limbs-fall-off-to-teach-a-lesson" guy from previous seasons. :lol

Man, this was one of the best Arrested Development's ever. Lot's of "in jokes" and some subtle ones as well. I'm sure I missed a few and the preview for next week's was hilarious as well.

:lol

Awesome episode... did anyone else notice Barry (the Fonz) jump the shark :lol

Some of the jokes lately are going to date the show like the Dr. House reference and the Desperate Housewifes reference last week, but there still really funny.

Best moments tonight: Buster's "I'm a Monster!!!!" and the Burger King references

I loved how Carl Weathers played the ex-golfer who had his hand bitten off by an alligator in a show where one of the characters had his hand bitten off by a seal with a bow tie... and then that seal had his arm bitten off by a shark.

This show is insane.

Mother Boy XXX :lol
Stop licking my hand :lol
And I also love the inside jokes, like the Dr House plate and Amy Poehler as Gob's wife (they are really married) and Barry jumping the shark.

Shouldn't we make an official Arrested Development thread so we don't have to make a new thread every week? I think it would be more organized that way.

Eh, anyway, I liked the Fonz actor jumping the shark bit. :lol

Especially as he was talking about Burger King while he was talking- this after the shameless promotion for Burger King earlier in the episode.

Fucking wonderful.

Highlights:

Gob's wife: Maybe I misunderestmiated you. :lol

The hook stuff was hilarious; the car window, and him ziplining across. I also liked the kid that kep screaming "take me!" at the motherboy thing.

Barry jumping the shark.

George Sr.: I'm having a *ing tea party! What does it look like I'm doing?

What was the Burger King stuff? Were there ads for it or something during the commercial break?

Ok, so I'm late to the party on AD. I bought Season 1 on DVD last Sunday and watched it all in a matter of 2 days. Then just today I finally got all of the eps so far from season 2 and watched through them in a little over a day.

One of the best shows ever. :lol :lol :lol :lol

Oh my god. What an episode. All the tea party stuff KILLED me. So did Mother Boy. And the Next On. And the BK plugs. Just brilliant all around.

Even reading some of these posts is making me LOL all over again.

I love this show so much.

When Buster looks at the hand chair in his room...and it's a left hand as well...is each season written all at once? Makes me wonder...

It doesn't stop there. When Buster loses his hand chair earlier on in the series he say, "I don't know what I'd do without my hand".

The writers just plan this shit fucking meticulously. That's one of the reasons the show is so great. I mean, look at this:

That's the scene right before he gets his hand bitten off. Look at the text on the bench to his right.

It's just the smartest god damn comedy ever.

Holy shit indeed. Did you notice that on your own, Mike?
HELL no. I got that, and pretty much every other Arrested Development secret/in-joke/etc from the AD thread that's running at Something Awful. I would never notice something like that.

For those of you who have never seen this show, and are in the UK - next weeks Times has a free DVD with one episode to whet your appetite. Bunch of other stuff on there too.

Yeah, they set up the seal thing pretty early. If you watch the the first episode this season they mention a seal attack in the background of a news broadcast.
