I really don't like this trailer. Hopefully the movie won't be as cheesy... I was really hoping we had moved past that kind of stuff after the Joel Schumacher Batmans.

i have to agree, though I loved the other Batman teasers and spots, the new ones on tv are really cheesy and don't match the same mold at all. I think it would have really been to their benefit to sell it as an epic, to show not only is it different from the others, but not to throw anyone off who actually LIKED the other Batman's, god forbid. You have no idea how many people have said "Oh, another Batman? Who's playing him now?"

I like the ads perfectly fine, and I imagine they'll get a lot of normal moviegoers pretty pumped up. The original teaser did next to nothing for non-fans, who were just left wondering where the action was. I think with the combination of the trailers, ads and all the future media hype, people will know what to expect here. This movie is going to do some dynamite box office, no questions asked.

Well you know what, this TV trailer does look pretty bad considering everything we've been told about the movie by now. Why tiptoe around that?
It actually has me a bit worried, despite those earlier teasers, which painted a totally different picture. Judged on this trailer alone, xXx comparision doesn't seem very far fetched.
*edit* 2nd trailer linked above (the one with the flock of bats at the very beginning) looks more toned down in it's extreme-ness though.

I liked the part where he uses the bats as 'backup'.
Part of Batman's fear factor comes from the fact that he dresses like a bat. Using bats seems very natural. Who wouldn't be shitting their pants if suddenly 500 bats came flying at you?
