New Beyond: Two Souls Previews & Screens

Looks like the iOS companion app is coming out tonight. I wonder if there's any early content in there, given that it's hitting the App Store almost a month before the game proper ships.
Unlikely. It's apparently very light and just contains the interface to control the game or do co-op. They probably release it early for the reviewers.

Very Impressive, really looking forward to what Quantic dream can put out on PS4, because i'm gunna be honest, I didn't think the PS3 was capable of this...Day one.

Atrociously written is atrociously written, it's out of my hands. In any event, there's plenty of people who don't make concessions for terrible writing due to some 'emotion' it makes them feel, so I'm looking to those people to see if they think Beyond is an improvement over the miserable writing of Heavy Rain. Certainly seems like the acting is better, at least. If you don't fit the criteria, skip the post and move on :)

It's important because I like adventure games; I don't like shit writing. So I'm looking for someone who had such an experience to elaborate on their time with Beyond.

You know I think it's a cultural thing.

I think French writing is the issue. It doesn't translate (not literally) well to America ears.

I thought that was sweat. Anyway, I find it quite awesome the gesture she does with her mouth before talking. It seems like she was swallowing.

Mocap goes a long fucking way.

The biggest problem I have with modern mocap in video games... is that devs are not animating breathing right [moving of stomack, chest, and shoulders]. I even had issue with The Dark Sorcer when David Gant was screaming hard at the camera, fuming with rage for dozens of seconds.

Well thankfully I'm not paying attention that far into detail, but I agree, as they keep improving the use and tech of mocap, and developers strive for better/real life animations they will have to work on more details like those you mentioned.

Awesome, I just read that the loading screen is actually an animated timeline of the game. Once you complete a chapter it is added in at the right spot chronologically. Very neat way to help you out in case you get confused.

what ever technique they use for facial animation is terrible those eyes are dead and characters are so soulless
