Exactly how I feel. Seems like a decent 7/10 game. Bloober team is definitely trending in the right direction, but they need to do much better when it comes to their combat. It's way too safe and paint by numbersThere's nothing I particularly dislike, but there's nothing I really like either. It's like if you fed an AI existing games like dead space and silent hill and it spit out this. I just can't get excited for it.
Yep. After SH2, I'll give them a chance no matter what, and what they've said sounds good.Metroidvania-ish, old school structure with tons of secrets, shortcuts to unlock and keycard-ed doors?

The one thing I do like is that you can charge shots on every gun and that environmental elements are highly incentivized. I didn't expect there to be such an emphasis on limited resources as there apparently is. Gives me hope that maybe the tactical aspect of all that will help. It seems to lean more Survival Horror rather than Action Horror. SH2R combat was simple yet addictive for me as well, it had a great feel that did a lot of work.Yep. Unfortunately, I just haven't really been into the combat yet. Maybe it'll click as they refine it, but SH2 didn't have shinning combat either.
As I understand it, key / quest items take up inventory slots, rather than going into a magic bag. I can understand why that gets annoying.Eurogamer dude is really, really unhappy with the inventory management.
Eurogamer dude is really, really unhappy with the inventory management. I can't tell if it's just that Bloober made a shitty version of old school Resi style inventory management or if he hates the concept. He does say he's an avid Horror fan so maybe Bloober just did a bad take on it.
This game has been a rollercoaster ride for me every time new shit is posted lol.
NAILED IT. sure it looks pretty (because not much computationally going on). but it's the same shit. poking around in the dark, creepy thing bombs out, awkward/stiff shooting mechanics, low ammo (awesome and exciting!), shitty combat and movement. shall i go on?? or am i cool to start wiping? because i just SHIT on this one! There's nothing I particularly dislike, but there's nothing I really like either. It's like if you fed an AI existing games like dead space and silent hill and it spit out this. I just can't get excited for it.
And a sprinkle of returnal. There's nothing I particularly dislike, but there's nothing I really like either. It's like if you fed an AI existing games like dead space and silent hill and it spit out this. I just can't get excited for it.
Check out this 35-minute gameplay showcasing the beginning of Cronos: The New Dawn! Follow Traveler ND-3576 as she lands in the New Dawn district and is tasked with finding her mysterious Predecessor.
Cronos: The New Dawn is coming to PC, PlayStation5 and Xbox Series X/S this fall!
They are definitely more engaging because you know shit will happen at some point.Looks good to me. Survival horror is really the most enjoyable type of single player game, in my experience.

Quintessential definition of "good enough".
Nothing really great or impressive.
Silent Hill gonna clap cheeks this year.As survival horror fan we are eating good….both this game and Silent Hill f coming this year and we got RE9 for next year.

If they need to delay the game a bit more, February is pretty much the worst time to release it, as RE: Requiem will eat it alive.Silent Hill gonna clap cheeks this year.
I still think chronos will slip to next year in like February.
Silent Hill f coming out this year and RE9 next year and highly doubt original Silent Hill remake coming out Feb, if that was the case we would have seen proper trailer for it by now.If they need to delay the game a bit more, February is pretty much the worst time to release it, as RE: Requiem will eat it alive.
I'm fucking buying them all.As survival horror fan we are eating good….both this game and Silent Hill f coming this year and we got RE9 for next year.
