It's weird. The guns have really nice textures and generally look real, while the characters' clothing makes them look like cartoons.

I still like it better than PD:Z, though.

In my honest opinion, I think you're not supposed to get private with those characters. So the chance that you see them at close up and during an extended period of time is pretty slim, if not non-existent.

is this 60 fps ? knowing criterion it may well be.
Looks like it will put quite a few fps to shame, graphically at least

Stuff the bloom bashers, after seeing this game in motion I think its shaping up great.

Nah I think it looks gorgeous. I just didn't want Ghost to feel deprived.

This could end up pushing PS2 to its limits. Simply awesome. Criterion has programmers among the best in the whole world, I swear. Can't wait to see them working on next gen games.

Holy freaking sweet Mother of ow;jtroiu43243789dswk

I love the character model and I've never played a game with bloom lighting so I'm in great shape.

Wait, are you sure this is 60 fps? As in, did you receive a real confirmation or see it running for yourself?

The characters appear to have a bit of a Timesplitters look to them. Game should be cool, but from every screen shot I've seen it's just a gun and a bunch of debri. I don't know that is so incredibly exciting.

Well, it looks neat in motion and could be an intense game as a result of the amount of "stuff" happening. Of course, we know nothing of actual play mechanics and scenario design...

The Burnout games really provide a good "rush" when you play them. I think a lot of us are hoping that they can somehow bring that kind of excitement to this genre.

Awesome! It's new Ghost Recon 3 shots! It really does look like the trailer!!

Oh... wait a minute.

... oh.

One thing to consider...

If this game is pushing 'effects' so heavily, the situation may end up similar to what we've already seen with BO3 and Revenge. The PS2 version may, in fact, sport more impressive cinematic effects.

The graphics are amazing but the gameplay didn't look that special to me.

Yeah, it looks incredible for the PS2(i mean, how the fuck is this game possible, and at 60fps), but I'm not sure about the gameplay. I didn't like Burnout 3 at all(good crash'em up, shit racer). I'll wait and see how Black holds up.

F.E.A.R was the same, and now look at it. Hopefully Black delivers on current gen hardware.

That's what I was wondering...I'm excited about this game, but I'm going to have to wait until after the reviews to see which version to get :P

If Revenge can be considered a baseline for where Criterion is at in terms of hardware knowledge, then hot damn I can't wait for this.

Even though there is PLENTY to play through the end of the year, 2006 release still makes Guy a sad panda.
