No. However, there are two 3rd person views. One of them, which is rarely shown, is farther out.

Having played Motorstorm, Motorstorm Pacific Rift, and Motorstorm RC, I fully expect the AI to be rage-inducing at some points. That just comes with the territory in any Evolution game and I wouldn't have it any other way.

This game looks amazing, even from an off screen shot. I am greatly looking forward to the day I can load up Driveclub from the PS4 menu.

It's not many games, I can say a game looks great based on a screen of a screen. So seeing it in person, I can hardly imagine.

Only a few more days.
 
I'm about to preorder the + version on the AU store, but I keep reading about DLC/season passes as well... is there somewhere I can read about that? Or a post or something? If I can get everything in a single bundle (or for cheaper) I will.

Basic rundown, there are currently 11 DLC tracks planned, but all of them will be free. There are also 9 additional cars planned to be delivered for free. The Season Pass is for 38 cars, 176 new events, and 80 new liveries.

Sweet jesus. Does it mention whether the new tracks are 11 new locations, one new location with 11 variants or a combination of the two?

In for that season pass as well. Adding almost another entire game's worth of events and 50% more cars on top of that? Sign me up. Hopefully it's not too expensive.

1 new location.

So I am guessing 5 of those tracks are for that.

I'm actually not sure that I like it. The snowflakes in the headlight look very nice in their own right, but it feels like they only exist inside of a cone in front of the player's car. It doesn't sit right in the environment.

I'm getting the physical copy of the game for really cheap($45 Australian, that's cheap in Oz), so I might give the season pass a go. Depends on the what the events that come with the game are like though.

It's cause you're looking at an off-screen gif. Also, it's in a dark environment. We just can't see the snow falling around, only in front of the car cause of the headlights. You just aren't looking at it right.

That's one of two things:

1) The low res, quality, and off-screen footage is blurring out the darker snowflakes that aren't near the car.

2) This is the footage someone was talking about that DID have the snow particles in a cone, but Rushy said it's been fixed.

They already said it was a bug and it's fixed now :)

How'd you score that deal? I think I'm just going to get the PS+ version, wanted the steelbook but JB are the only place seemingly selling it, and that's for $100 :/
 
Looking back, I'm glad they delayed this game. I've had plenty to play all year, and having this around the corner after how sexy it's become, is just fucking great.

Nah, it's exclusive skins and instant access to those cars. Those cars are in everyone's game regardless.

In the US, the skin on the left is Amazon exclusive and the one on the right is GameStop. The one in the middle comes with both as a non-exclusive pre-order skin.

Dick Smith had one of those 'Save $15 on any order over $60 online' specials on the same day they had a free shipping special. At the same time they also had a special saying you save $10 by preodering certain games(of which DriveClub was one).
So I made the order online to get it for $54.98(Driveclub was $69.98), then emailed their online sales department asking for the further $10 refund. :)

That reminds me, I have an online order with Dick Smith to get AC: Unity for $60 and the special for $10 off for preorders applies as of today. Might send them an email now. :)

Ah... good deal!

Reading the article on the PS+ upgrade, I'm relieved to see that while it's $50 on the US store to upgrade, Australians aren't getting dicked around and being forced to spend a stupid amount. $57 is more than palatable and I'm quite surprised it wasn't higher here.
