Lyrics.....

Kids

----

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the united states of America (America)
And to the republic
*PEOPLE*
for which it stands one nation under god
*THIS IS IT*
indivisible

Eminem

---

It is so good to be baaaack
Shoot me now, scrutinize every word
Memorize every line, I spit it once
Review re-energize and rewind
I give sight to the blind
My insight through the mind
I exercise my right express when I’m full of time
It’s just all in your mind
what you interpret it as
I say the fight
You take it as I’ma whip someone’s ass
If you don’t understand don’t even bother to ask
A father who has grown up with a fatherless past
Who has blown up now,
To rap phenomenon that has
Or at least shows no difficulty multi-tasking
And doubling both perhaps
Mastered his craft slash
Entrepreneur who held onto a few more rat bags
Who’s had a few obstacles thrown his way through the last half
Of his career typical maneuverable passed that
Mister kissed his ass crack
He’s a class act
Rubber band man yah! He just snaps back

CHORUS

===
Come along, follow me
As I lead, through the darkness
As I provide just enough spark
That we need, to proceed
Carry on give me hope
Give me strength
Come with me and I won’t steer you wrong
Put your faith and your trust
As I got us through the fog
To the light at the end of the tunnel
We goin fight we gonna charge
We gonna stomp we gonna march
Through this swamp, we gonna mosh through the marsh
Take us, right through the doors

EMINEM

----

The people at the top, on the side and the middle
Come together lets all form and swarm just a little
Just let it gradually build, from the front to the back
All you can see is a sea of people some white and some black
Don’t matter what color, all that matters is we gathered together
To celebrate for the same cause, no matter the weather
If it rains let it rain Yah! The wetter the better
They aint goina stop up they can’t
We stronger now more then ever
They tell us no we say yah
They tell us stop we say go
Re-bel with a rebel yell
Raise hell, we goina let um know
Stomp push shove mush
Fuck bush
Until they bring our troops home
Come on JUST

CHORUS

===

Come along, follow me
As I lead, through the darkness
As I provide just enough spark
That we need, to proceed
Carry on give me hope
Give me strength
Come with me and I won’t steer you wrong
Put your faith and your trust
As I got us through the fog
To the light at the end of the tunnel
We goin fight we gonna charge
We gonna stomp we gonna march
Through this swamp, we gonna mosh through the marsh
Take us, right through the doors

BRIDGE1

===

Come on Imagine it pouring
It’s raining down on us
Moshpits on top of oval office
Someone’s trying to tell us something
Maybe this is god just Telling us we are responsible
For this monster, This coward, that we empowered
This is bin laden Look at his head noddin
How could we allow something like this
Without pumping our fist Now this is our final hour

EMINEM

---
let me be the voice
and your strength and your choice
let me simplify the rhyme just to amplify the noise
try to amplify the times it and multiply it by
six-teen million people all equal of this high bitch
maybe we can reach Al-Quada through my speech
let the president answer “Hi anarchy”
Strap him with an ak47, Let him go, fight his own war
Let him impress daddy that way, No more blood for oil
We got our own battles to fight on our own soil
No more psychological warfare, to trick us to make us think we aint loyal
If we don’t serve our own country, we are patronizing a hero
Look in his eyes that’s all lies
The stars and stripes have been swiped
Washed out and wiped
And replaced with his own face
Mosh now or die
If I get sniped tonight you know why
Cuz I told you to fight

CHORUS

===

Come along, follow me
As I lead, through the darkness
As I provide just enough spark
That we need, to proceed
Carry on give me hope
Give me strength
Come with me and I won’t steer you wrong
Put your faith and your trust
As I got us through the fog
To the light at the end of the tunnel
We goin fight we gonna charge
We gonna stomp we gonna march
Through this swamp, we gonna mosh through the marsh
Take us, right through the doors
Come on

TALKING===
And as we proceed, to mosh through this desert storm
In these closing statements, if they should argue
Let us beg to differ, as we set aside our differences
And assemble our own army, to disarm this weapon of mass destruction
That we our president for the present
And mosh for the future of our generation
To speak and be heard
Mr. President
Mr. Senator

Nice song and good delivery by Em as usual (track is kinda bleh but it fits the content), we need more political hip hop singles.
Strap him with an ak47, Let him go, fight his own war
Let him impress daddy that way
That's just gold. Can't wait for the video.

Eminem saw how good bashing Bush helped Jadakiss, and Eminem loves using controversy to sell albums... so i dont think anyone WASNT expecting him to do something like this.

Is that your opinion as the former President of the United States of America?

But Em doesn't end up sounding quite as dumb as Jada did.

yah I agree, jada's sounded contrived, specifically for controversy... eminem's seems more like he really believes in it, but still very contrived... i hate rappers when they get political, i want killing, drug selling, hos and rims!!!!!!

It's kind of ehh... He forces a lot of things lyrically. It's better than the single 'Just Lose It', but there’s nothing memorable here. You hear Green Lantern on it, so it'll most likely appear on one of his mix-tapes.

This track isn't any better than the Jada track. They might think what they're saying is profound or deep but it's not. I guess that's where the "dumb" part comes form. But that’s the route you need to go, if you want any commercial attention. At least Jada's track is some what memorable; at least commercially. Em's track is just mix-tape filler.

This obviously is not intended to be a hit with catchy music or lyrics but more like express his feelings about the goverment and all the shit that's going on. So my respect for Em +1.

I'll say one thing: that guy sure is good at hopping on the current bandwagon and selling records off of it.

Kind of cool to see his messages being something more than how much weed he smokes or how many bitches he gets like 99% of the other rappers out there. Still though, its all too easy to wite him off as "hitting the hot-topics".

Why thank you. You contributions to this thread are immeasurable!

It's on a Green Lantern mixtape called "Sirius Business". The mixtape is being used to promote the new Shady/Aftermath radio station on Sirius called "Shade 45".

And by the way, Eminem has been going at Bush's neck way before Jadakiss' "Why" so don't go down that path. Jadakiss made one little remark about Bush in "Why", a controversial one at that, but still it was never as strong as anything Eminem put out.
"We As Americans"
"White America"

If the links are offensive, please just PM me and I'll remove them.

Yeah Jada comment was a non issue to me. It was on the same level with some of Ice Cube lyrics on Westside Connection's Terrorists Threats or what Big Boi said on Speakerboxx. Song doesn't to much for me audibly but, it is nice to see a head of a real protest song. He gets credit for that. Wyclef Jean has a nice protest song as well.

It's probably been mentioned before (I don't come into Eminem threads often), but isn't it completely fucking stupid that he stopped the video of Weird Al's lighthearted parody of Lose Yourself, yet he is perfectly fine to make a video that quite mean bashing of Michael Jackson?

Nothing special. I thought this would be on the level of Immortal Technique or Mos Def but with a good commercial beat. The beat was crap, the message isn't exactly anything new or awe inspiring and the lyrics only kicked in on the third verse.
Not the classic song the intarweb made it out to be.

Pretty good lyrics, terrible beat, as usual from Eminem. The garbage production and the plodding pace makes this basically unlistenable for me.

What makes you think Jada sounded dumb?
The line just didn't sound genuine, as if it was something he'd stand up and defend if he was verbally backed into a corner about it. The whole purpose of 'Why' was to make some noise in hopes that he'd finally get 'put on the map' anyway, so I don't think he truly stood behind most of what he said in that song.

This Em single otoh sounds like something that actually has been on his mind for awhile. It's definitely not the first time Em talked politics either, unlike Jada (unless there's a cameo or some D-Block mixtape single I'm missing).

That's retarded, Em parodied 8 Mile in his latest video, why wouldn't he let Mr. Video Parody himself do a better job? He really is a bigger tool than I originally thought.

Yes, because President Bush and the Iraq War are taboo topics that everyone in the entertainment industry is too afraid to speak out against.

Just didn't expect something like this from Em

Eminem handled the bulk of production on 'Encore'. That's not good.

this is his 2nd single of his album. so no not just mixtape stuff. its rumored the vid for this is about to come out very soon, the song should hit radio like any day now.

apparently the vid is either half animated or all animated and has some guest in it.

i really like the song but i wish he sped up his flow and got someone else to sing the chorus. would have been 10x better.

man cant wait for his album....its reported most of the album is like the slim shady lp...as in the crazy over the top eminem and not the type from the eminem show lp.

Here I'll post a link then for the actual single (not a rip off GL's mixtape):

http://s7.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=F5A8B65E0F75D2F6A510CA40CCBE2081

If it goes down, if someone (if not me) could re-up it that'd be really cool.

EDIT: After listening to the song with the lyrics, I'm really digging it way more. The message is so good that really the sluggish flow and dissonance at parts don't really matter *at all*. Awesome stuff, I'm glad he's releasing this as a single, even if controversy and marketing go hand in hand, he's still getting a powerful message out there.

+1000000 Eminem, fuck a ghetto pass :lol

This is far from the first time Eminem has bashed Bush....

None will have as much influence as Eminem though, and just read some of his lines, I don't really think other people bash Bush any better.

Just my opinion.
I was expecting lyrical fire, hopefully his album is less poppy.

This song dissapointed me. I was hoping for something with a bit more rythym more in the vein of white america.
