I use facebook a lot less than I used to since they took out network pages and changed the layout. The layout thing totally killed any desire to use it. I like what I see though.

For instance, Superpoke Pets; if it's only you, you can't earn enough coins in a day to buy nice furniture and other items for your pet's house. But if you have a friend, when you visit their pet, you get 20 coins, and if they visit you, you'll get 40 coins. So that is 60 coins per friend each day. Multiply that by 50+ friends and you can see how it's advantageous to befriend people on facebook who have their own superpoke pet. I have 80 friends alone who play superpoke pets; but I don't care to see updates about them since we don't talk outside of the game.

It for people you used to know, but don't really talk to anymore. However, since you added them at that point, there's no advantage to removing them; you might need them one day and besides, removing them in today's cultural context is akin to saying publicly "I dislike you."

I find it funny when people make fun of the type of facebook users who will write "is really tired" or anything else that is deemed "meaningless" or "pointless details of their lives." Why care enough to let it bother you or bitch about it. You're on a website that exists for the sole purpose of stalking everyones life and broadcasting your own from pictures to videos to "wall to wall" conversations, but someone says they're hungry and that's what you can't handle.
It gets me everytime.
I approve of this redesign but it's such a blatant copy of Twitter. I'd rather they innovate with some new features than force me to use ones taken elsewhere.
